吾雖明知爾之有知、且於爾所受之真道上亦卓爾有立、而猶不憚諄諄予爾以提撕者、

至論祭肉如何、吾人皆曰斯易知耳。然知能長傲、惟愛德則能立己立人也。

然非人人具此真知灼見；頗有數輩、至今尚以偶像有靈潛存於意識中、若知所食者為祭餘之物、則其脆弱之良心為所浼矣。

人若見爾有知者宴於偶像廟中、則無知者亦將背其良心而食祭餘之物矣。

年長婦女、舉止亦宜溫恭有禮、毋道人短、或沉湎於酒、務須循循善誘、教訓少婦、敬夫慈子、

願我愛友、黽勉自勵；於爾神聖之信仰上、好自建立；常憑聖神之默感、以祈以禱；庶克長遊於天主聖愛之中、而望我主耶穌基督加以慈惠、賜以常生。對於不信之人、可矜者矜之、為釋其疑；可救者救之、猶如搶物於火；其他則哀矜而加以戒懼、避之若浼；即其身體所玷污之衣裳、亦宜深惡而痛絕之也。

渠亦謂爾等已具超性之愛德矣。吾人逖聽之餘、即不輟為爾祈求、賜爾靈慧妙識、俾能切身體認天主弘旨、臻於圓融洞澈之地；且孳孳為善、有賁其實；

以資歷論、爾等此時應可為人師矣；而在實際、仍須人教爾等以淺近之教理、一如乳臭兒之未可遽進以乾糧也。

蓋予知汝之信德、實出至性、自汝外祖母羅懿、已具篤信；汝母幼儀、亦稟斯德；家學淵源、由來舊矣。

尚其以愛德興善行互相鼓勵。集會之事、切勿中輟、如若輩無恆者之所為也。亟宜彼此勗勉夾持；蓋彼日伊邇、更無因循之餘地矣。

或感聖神而受妙諦、或感同一聖神而受智辯、

夫光明之果、曰善、曰公、曰誠；

因是望爾等發憤自勉、精益求精；既有信心、加以德行；既有德行、加以明達；既有明達、加以克治；既能克治；加以堅忍；既有堅忍、加以虔誠；既有虔誠、加以友愛；既有友愛、冠之以仁。爾等苟能存養此等美德、使之發榮滋長於爾內心、則體認吾主耶穌基督、自覺日益親切、欲罷不能、必不致華而不實也。

使我無愛德、而具先知之靈賦、心通一切玄妙、一切知識、甚至有移山之信、則亦浮華無實耳。

親愛之同道乎、吾人言雖如此、心中對爾等實懷厚望、深信爾等距救恩實不遠矣。

此則予所深信不疑者也。且予對爾懷此感想、允非過情；蓋爾我神交心契、實為一體；故予之縲絏、亦即爾之縲絏；予之護道樹教、爾托主恩、亦與有功焉、

故望兄弟、一本爾所素行、互相勸慰、互相鼓勵。

最宜和睦。如有不守本分者、望兄弟加以勸告。鼓勵懦者、扶持弱者、寬裕忍耐、足以有容。

素稔爾之從善如流、故敢不揣冒昧、致書於爾、且知爾之所為、將有超乎予之所言者焉。

同時仰賴耶穌基督滿結仁義之實、以顯揚天主。

俾基督之道、寓爾五內、使之發榮滋長、蔚為眾慧。以聖詠、聖詩、聖歌、相互淬勵切磋、心歌腹咏、同聲頌美天主。

蓋天主之所以寵飾爾等者、實無微不至；賜爾等善於辭令、富於智慧、一切靈賦、應有盡有、
