I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.

爾雖知此、且堅定於所得之真理、我必恆使爾憶之、

然人不皆有此知識、至今有習於偶像者、而食若為祭物然、其良心尚弱、故見浼焉、

或見爾有知識者、席坐偶像之廟、彼良心尚弱、豈不果於食祭像之物乎、

使老婦之舉止端肅、毋讒毀、毋役於酒、以善訓人、俾迪少婦愛夫愛子、

愛友乎、宜於爾至聖之道而自建、於聖神而祈禱、於上帝之愛而自守、企望我主耶穌基督之矜恤、以至永生、有疑貳者、爾當恤之、有當奪於火而救之者、亦有當以儆懼而恤之者、即其衣為形軀所污、爾亦惡之、○

且以爾由聖神之愛告我、○故我儕自聞之之日、為爾祈禱不已、俾爾充諸靈智靈識、洞悉其旨、致所行合乎主、盡悅其意、於諸善工結實、於識上帝增益、

蓋以時而論、爾當為師、然尚需人以上帝聖詔小學之始教導爾曹、且為需乳不需粒食者、

蓋念爾衷無偽之信、即昔於爾祖母羅以及爾母友尼基者、我深信於爾亦然、

宜彼此顧恤、激勵於仁愛善行、勿輟會集、如彼輟之者、惟相勸勉、見乃日愈近而愈切、○

或由聖神賦以睿智之言、或由聖神賦以知識之言、

夫光明之實、乃在諸善、與義與誠也、

緣此、爾當殷勤、於信益德、於德益智、於智益節、於節益忍、於忍益虔、於虔益友愛、於友愛益仁慈、爾有此而擴充之、則必使爾於識我主耶穌基督、不怠不荒、

雖能預言、洞悉諸奧諸智、且篤信足以移山、若無愛、則我為烏有、

愛友乎、我雖言是、然深信爾行必愈乎此、而近乎救也、

我如是念爾眾宜也、蓋爾在我心、以爾於我縲絏中、及明辨而證福音之際、與我共與乎恩也、

故宜相勸慰、相建立、如爾所行、○

我勸兄弟、妄者警之、怯者勵之、弱者扶之、寬以待眾、

我深信爾之順服、故書遺爾、知爾所為、必過我所言、

充以義之實、由耶穌基督、致榮與頌歸於上帝、○

當以基督之道充實爾衷、智慧俱備、以詩、以歌、以靈賦、相教相戒、中心感恩、以頌上帝、

俾爾於基督中萬事富有、才辯知識俱優、
