伏維吾主耶穌基督及天主聖父、既自始寵愛吾人、而惠賜吾人以無窮之慰望、必有以鼓舞吾人之心、而使之為善有恆、樂道不倦也。

養怡神於望德、練弘毅於艱辛。

究竟天主之國、不在飲食、惟在正義和平、與夫怡然自得於聖神之中耳。

且天主全能、必使各種美德暢茂條達於爾等之胸中、俾爾等萬事舉足、無善不俱。

但願涵弘光大、普天仰望之天主、賜爾等一心一德、以事基督；

夫耶穌基督、爾等未之見也而已衷心慕之；雖無所睹而能毅然信之。故爾等歡樂難言、寵榮被身、

惟願爾中人人皆能具此熱情、始終不渝、以成全望德。

若夫聖神之果、則為仁愛、神樂、安怡、忍耐、慈祥、良善、忠信、

『莫令爾心忐忑不寧；爾信天主、亦當信予。

勿酗酒而蕩檢、當醉心於聖神；以聖詠聖詩聖歌、互相酬唱、心歌腹詠、以頌美於主。

堅忍所以致純熟、純熟則有望、有望則決無失望之虞矣。蓋天主之愛、已憑其所賜於吾人之聖神、而沛然傾注於吾人之心矣。

蓋予之談吐及論道、非恃人智之巧言妙語、惟恃神力之明徵、

具徵吾儕之授爾以福音、不僅以言、且以神力與聖神、實事求是、廓然不疑。吾儕向在爾中服務、爾等固知其為何如人也。

伏願天主我等父暨主耶穌基督、降爾聖寵、錫爾平安。

予以平安遺爾、予以己之平安施於爾等、而予之為施、亦有異乎世之所為矣。毋事忐忑、毋事疑懼；

奉吾救主天主、及吾人所仰望者基督耶穌之恩命、而為基督耶穌之宗徒者、葆樂
