願主耶穌基督和愛我們、開恩將永遠的安慰和美好的盼望賜給我們的父上帝，安慰你們的心，使你們在一切善行善言上剛強。

盼望中要有喜樂，患難中要堅忍，禱告要恆切。

因為上帝的國不是關乎吃什麼喝什麼，而是關乎公義、平安和聖靈所賜的喜樂。

上帝能夠將各樣的恩典多多賜給你們，使你們在各方面常常富足有餘，可以多行各樣的善事。

但願賜忍耐和鼓勵的上帝給你們合一的心去效法基督耶穌的榜樣，

你們雖然沒有見過基督，卻愛祂；雖然現在看不見祂，卻信祂，並且有無法形容、充滿榮耀的喜樂。

願你們各人從始至終表現出同樣的殷勤，以便對所盼望的有完全的把握。

但聖靈所結的果子是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、

耶穌繼續說：「你們心裡不要憂愁，你們要信上帝，也要信我。

你們必歡歡喜喜地出來，平平安安地蒙引導，大山小山都要在你們面前歌唱，田野的樹木也都拍掌。

不要醉酒，醉酒會使人放蕩，要被聖靈充滿。要用詩篇、聖樂、靈歌互相激勵，從心底唱出讚美主的旋律。

忍耐生品格，品格生盼望。這種盼望不會落空，因為上帝的愛藉著所賜給我們的聖靈已傾注在我們心中。

我說話、講道不是靠充滿智慧的雄辯之詞，而是靠聖靈的能力作明證，

因為我們傳福音給你們不只是靠言語，也靠上帝的能力、聖靈的同在和充分的確據。你們也知道，我們為了你們的緣故怎樣在你們中間行事為人。

願我們的父上帝和主耶穌基督賜給你們恩典和平安！

我把平安留給你們，把我的平安賜給你們，我賜給你們的平安不像世人給的平安。你們心裡不要憂愁，也不要害怕。

耶和華從錫安發出怒吼，從耶路撒冷發出雷聲，天地為之震動。但耶和華卻是祂子民的避難所，是以色列人的堡壘。

我保羅奉我們救主上帝和賜我們盼望的基督耶穌的命令，作基督耶穌的使徒，

以色列的盼望和患難時的救主啊，你為什麼在這裡像一個異鄉人，像一個只住一夜的旅客呢？
