And again Isaiah says,“ The root of Jesse will come, and the one who rises to rule over the Gentiles, in him will the Gentiles hope.”

以赛亚先知也说：“将来耶西的根要兴起，祂要统治外族，外族人都要仰望祂。”

以赛亚也说：“将来必有耶西的根，就是那兴起来治理列邦的；列邦都寄望于他。”

又有以赛亚说：“将有耶西的根，就是兴起来统治外邦人的那一位；外邦人要仰望他。”

又有以賽亞說：將來有耶西的根，就是那興起來要治理外邦的；外邦人要仰望他。

又有以賽亞說：「將來有耶西的根，就是那興起來要治理列邦的；外邦人要仰望他。」

以賽亞又云、有耶西之根株將興、而君異邦、異邦將望之、

以賽亞曰、耶西之根株將萌、君異邦者將興、異邦人賴之、

又以賽亞曰、耶西之根將萌、興而轄異邦人者將至、或作又以賽亞曰將有自耶西根而萌之枝即將興以轄異邦人者異邦人必仰望之、

而意灑雅書亦曰：『葉瑟之根苗、掘興治萬邦；萬邦所依恃生靈所仰望。』

And again, Isaiah says,“ The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.”

And Isaiah says,“ The Root of Jesse will grow up quickly. He will rule over the nations. The Gentiles will put their hope in him.”( Isaiah 11:10)

And again Isaiah says,“ The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.”

And in another place Isaiah said,“ The heir to David’s throne will come, and he will rule over the Gentiles. They will place their hope on him.”

And again, Isaiah says, The root of Jesse will appear, the one who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in him.

Again Isaiah says,“ There shall come the root of Jesse, And He who arises to rule over the Gentiles, In Him will the Gentiles hope.”

And again, Isaiah says:“ There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.”

And again, Isaiah saith, There shall be the root of Jesse, And he that ariseth to rule over the Gentiles; On him shall the Gentiles hope.

And again, Isaiah says: The root of Jesse will appear, the One who rises to rule the Gentiles; the Gentiles will hope in Him.

And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.

Again, Isaiah says,“ There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.”

At that time a root from Jesse will stand like a signal flag for the nations. Nations will look to him for guidance, and his residence will be majestic.

And in his name the Gentiles will hope.”

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!”

A shoot will grow out of Jesse’s root stock, a bud will sprout from his roots.

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered; thus he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

The LORD says,“ I will put a curse on people who trust in mere human beings, who depend on mere flesh and blood for their strength, and whose hearts have turned away from the LORD.They will be like a shrub in the desert. They will not experience good things even when they happen. It will be as though they were growing in the desert, in a salt land where no one can live.My blessing is on those people who trust in me, who put their confidence in me.

For if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone.

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs; the nations will obey him.

Through him you now trust in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

Let all the people of the earth acknowledge the LORD and turn to him! Let all the nations worship you!For the LORD is king and rules over the nations.

“ Here is my servant whom I support, my chosen one in whom I take pleasure. I have placed my spirit on him; he will make just decrees for the nations.He will not cry out or shout; he will not publicize himself in the streets.A crushed reed he will not break, a dim wick he will not extinguish; he will faithfully make just decrees.He will not grow dim or be crushed before establishing justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait in anticipation for his decrees.”

so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of his glory.And when you heard the word of truth( the gospel of your salvation)– when you believed in Christ– you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit,

Because of this, in fact, I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, because I know the one in whom my faith is set and I am convinced that he is able to protect what has been entrusted to me until that day.

He will assume his post and shepherd the people by the LORD’s strength, by the sovereign authority of the LORD his God. They will live securely, for at that time he will be honored even in the distant regions of the earth.

May he rule from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth!Before him the coastlands will bow down, and his enemies will lick the dust.The kings of Tarshish and the coastlands will offer gifts; the kings of Sheba and Seba will bring tribute.

Then I said,“ LORD, you give me strength and protect me. You are the one I can run to for safety when I am in trouble. Nations from all over the earth will come to you and say,‘ Our ancestors had nothing but false gods– worthless idols that could not help them at all.

To him was given ruling authority, honor, and sovereignty. All peoples, nations, and language groups were serving him. His authority is eternal and will not pass away. His kingdom will not be destroyed.

In the future the LORD’s Temple Mount will be the most important mountain of all; it will be more prominent than other hills. People will stream to it.Many nations will come, saying,“ Come on! Let’s go up to the LORD’s mountain, to the temple of Jacob’s God, so he can teach us his commands and we can live by his laws.” For Zion will be the source of instruction; the LORD’s teachings will proceed from Jerusalem.He will arbitrate between many peoples and settle disputes between many distant nations. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nations will not use weapons against other nations, and they will no longer train for war.

he says,“ Is it too insignificant a task for you to be my servant, to reestablish the tribes of Jacob, and restore the remnant of Israel? I will make you a light to the nations, so you can bring my deliverance to the remote regions of the earth.”

The one enthroned in heaven laughs in disgust; the Lord taunts them.Then he angrily speaks to them and terrifies them in his rage, saying,“ I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill.”The king says,“ I will announce the LORD’S decree. He said to me:‘ You are my son! This very day I have become your father!Ask me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your personal property.You will break them with an iron scepter; you will smash them like a potter’s jar!’”So now, you kings, do what is wise; you rulers of the earth, submit to correction!Serve the LORD in fear! Repent in terror!Give sincere homage! Otherwise he will be angry, and you will die because of your behavior, when his anger quickly ignites. How blessed are all who take shelter in him!

May his fame endure! May his dynasty last as long as the sun remains in the sky! May they use his name when they formulate their blessings! May all nations consider him to be favored by God!

In the days of those kings the God of heaven will raise up an everlasting kingdom that will not be destroyed and a kingdom that will not be left to another people. It will break in pieces and bring about the demise of all these kingdoms. But it will stand forever.
