我們若活，是為主而活；我們若死，是為主而死。所以，我們或死或活總是主的人。

蓋吾人之生也、為主而生；死也、為主而死；生為主之徒、死為主之屬、如是而已矣。

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

If we live, we live to honor the Lord. If we die, we die to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

這就是我所切慕、所盼望的：沒有一事能使我羞愧；反倒凡事坦然無懼，無論是生是死，總要讓基督在我身上照常顯大。

他替我們死，讓我們無論醒着、睡着，都與他同活。

但各人是按着自己的次序復活：初熟的果子是基督；然後在他來的時候，是那些屬於基督的。

於是保羅回答：「你們為甚麼這樣痛哭，使我心碎呢？我為主耶穌的名，不但被人捆綁，就是死在耶路撒冷也是願意的。」

我以你們的信心為供獻的祭物，我若被澆獻在其上也是喜樂，並且與你們眾人一同喜樂。

大衛在世的時候，遵行了上帝的旨意就長眠了，歸到他祖宗那裏，已見朽壞；

既然我們信耶穌死了，復活了，那些已經在耶穌裏睡了的人，上帝也必將他們與耶穌一同帶來。我們照主的話告訴你們一件事：我們這活着還存留到主來臨的人，絕不會在那已經睡了的人之先。因為，召集令一發，天使長的呼聲一叫，上帝的號角一吹，主必親自從天降臨；那在基督裏死了的人必先復活，然後我們這些活着還存留的人必和他們一同被提到雲裏，在空中與主相會。這樣，我們就要和主永遠同在。所以，你們當用這些話彼此勸勉。

我聽見從天上有聲音說：「你要寫下：從今以後，在主裏死去的人有福了。」聖靈說：「是的，他們要從自己的勞苦中得安息，因為工作的成果永隨着他們。」

因他為做基督的工作不顧性命，幾乎至死，為要補足你們供應我不夠的地方。

我卻不以性命為念，只要走完我的路程，完成我從主耶穌所領受的職分，為上帝恩典的福音作見證。

耶穌說這話，是指彼得會怎樣死來榮耀上帝。說了這話，耶穌對他說：「你跟從我吧！」

或保羅，或亞波羅，或磯法，或世界，或生，或死，或現今的事，或將來的事，全是你們的，而你們是屬基督的，基督是屬上帝的。
