我们若活，是为主而活；我们若死，是为主而死。所以，我们或死或活总是主的人。

蓋吾人之生也、為主而生；死也、為主而死；生為主之徒、死為主之屬、如是而已矣。

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

If we live, we live to honor the Lord. If we die, we die to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

这就是我所切慕、所盼望的：没有一事能使我羞愧；反倒凡事坦然无惧，无论是生是死，总要让基督在我身上照常显大。

他替我们死，让我们无论醒着、睡着，都与他同活。

但各人是按着自己的次序复活：初熟的果子是基督；然后在他来的时候，是那些属于基督的。

于是保罗回答：“你们为什么这样痛哭，使我心碎呢？我为主耶稣的名，不但被人捆绑，就是死在耶路撒冷也是愿意的。”

我以你们的信心为供献的祭物，我若被浇献在其上也是喜乐，并且与你们众人一同喜乐。

大卫在世的时候，遵行了上帝的旨意就长眠了，归到他祖宗那里，已见朽坏；

既然我们信耶稣死了，复活了，那些已经在耶稣里睡了的人，上帝也必将他们与耶稣一同带来。我们照主的话告诉你们一件事：我们这活着还存留到主来临的人，绝不会在那已经睡了的人之先。因为，召集令一发，天使长的呼声一叫，上帝的号角一吹，主必亲自从天降临；那在基督里死了的人必先复活，然后我们这些活着还存留的人必和他们一同被提到云里，在空中与主相会。这样，我们就要和主永远同在。所以，你们当用这些话彼此劝勉。

我听见从天上有声音说：“你要写下：从今以后，在主里死去的人有福了。”圣灵说：“是的，他们要从自己的劳苦中得安息，因为工作的成果永随着他们。”

因他为做基督的工作不顾性命，几乎至死，为要补足你们供应我不够的地方。

我却不以性命为念，只要走完我的路程，完成我从主耶稣所领受的职分，为上帝恩典的福音作见证。

耶稣说这话，是指彼得会怎样死来荣耀上帝。说了这话，耶稣对他说：“你跟从我吧！”

或保罗，或亚波罗，或矶法，或世界，或生，或死，或现今的事，或将来的事，全是你们的，而你们是属基督的，基督是属上帝的。
