就是说，我们如果活着，是为主而活；如果死了，是为主而死。所以，我们无论是活着，还是死了，总是属于主。

我们若活着，是为主而活；若死了，是为主而死。所以，我们或活或死总是主的人。

我们若活，是为主而活；我们若死，是为主而死。所以，我们或死或活总是主的人。

我们若活，是为主而活；我们若死，是为主而死。所以，我们或死或活总是主的人。

我们活是为主而活，死是为主而死。因此，我们无论生死都是属主的人。

蓋生為主、死亦為主也、故或生或死、莫非屬主、

蓋我生為主而生、我死為主而死、故或生或死、皆屬主、

蓋吾人之生也、為主而生；死也、為主而死；生為主之徒、死為主之屬、如是而已矣。

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

If we live, we live to honor the Lord. If we die, we die to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

我的热切盼望和期待是：我在任何事上都将不至于蒙羞；而现在也能像往常一样，无论藉着生，还是藉着死，总要满有胆量地让基督在我身上被尊为大。

基督替我们死，为要使我们无论是醒着还是睡着，都与他一同活着。

不过每个人要按着自己的次序：初熟的果子是基督；然后他来临的时候，是那些属于基督的人；

这时候保罗说：“你们为什么哭，使我心碎呢？我为了主耶稣的名，不仅被捆绑，即使死在耶路撒冷，也都预备好了。”

然而，即使我被做为奠祭，浇在你们信仰的祭物和服事上，我也欢喜，并且和你们大家一同欢喜；

就是说，大卫虽然在自己的世代，遵行了神的计划之后就睡了，归到他祖先那里，并且经历了腐朽，

我们既然相信耶稣死而复活了，照样也相信，那些藉着耶稣已经睡了的人，神将要把他们与耶稣一同带来。的确，我们现在照着主的话告诉你们这一点：我们这些活着存留到主来临的人，绝不会在那些已经睡了的人之先，因为在发令的呼喊声中，在天使长的声音和神的号角声中，主要亲自从天降临，而且那些在基督里死去的人要先复活，然后我们这些还活着存留的人，要与他们一同被提到云里，在空中与主相会。这样，我们就要永远与主在一起了。所以，你们当用这些话彼此鼓励。

接着，我听见有声音从天上传来，说：“你当写下：从今以后，在主里死去的人是蒙福的！”圣灵说：“是的！他们将脱离自己的劳苦进入安息，因为他们的作为将伴随着他们。”

因为他为了基督的工作，几乎至死，冒了生命的危险，为要弥补你们服事我的缺乏。

但是我不把自己的生命看为宝贵，为要跑尽我该跑的路程，完成从主耶稣所领受的服事工作，为神恩典的福音郑重地做见证。

耶稣说这话，是指彼得将会以怎样的死来荣耀神。说了这话，耶稣对他说：“你跟从我！”

无论是保罗、是阿波罗、是矶法、是世界、是生、是死、是现在的事、是将来的事，全都属于你们；而你们属于基督，基督属于神。
