The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them.

The person who eats everything must not look down on the one who does not. And the one who doesn’t eat everything must not judge the person who does. That’s because God has accepted them.

Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.

Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them.

耶穌向那些自恃為義、輕視別人的人，講了這個比喻：

這樣，你為甚麼批評你的弟兄呢？為甚麼又輕看你的弟兄呢？我們都要站在神的審判臺前；

因此，基督已經為他死了的那軟弱的弟兄，就因你的知識而滅亡了。你們這樣得罪弟兄，傷了他們軟弱的良心，就是得罪基督了。所以，如果食物使我的弟兄跌倒，我就永遠不再吃肉，免得使我的弟兄跌倒了。

所以，我們不要再彼此批評了；倒要立定主意，決不作絆倒弟兄或使他跌倒的事。

如果你為了食物使你的弟兄憂愁，你就不再是憑著愛心行事了。你不可因著你的食物，使基督已經替他死了的人滅亡。

“不可判斷人，免得你們被判斷。你們怎樣判斷人，也必怎樣被判斷；你們用甚麼標準衡量人，也必照樣被衡量。

“你們要小心，不要輕視這些小弟兄中的一個。我告訴你們，他們的使者在天上，常常見到我天父的面。﹙有些抄本有第

我說的良心，不是你的，而是他的。為甚麼我的自由要受別人的良心論斷呢？我若存著感恩的心吃了，為甚麼我因著我所感恩的食物被人毀謗呢？

所以不要讓人因著飲食、節期、月朔、安息日批評你們，這些不過是將來的事的影子，那真體卻是屬於基督的。

無論是吃肉，是喝酒，或是甚麼使你的弟兄跌倒的事，一律不要作才好。

彼得就開口說：“我實在看出神是不偏待人的。

那時，約翰的門徒前來問耶穌：“為甚麼我們和法利賽人常常禁食，你的門徒卻不禁食呢？”

誰藐視這日子，以為所作的是小事呢？他們看見所羅巴伯手裡拿著測錘，就必歡喜。”是耶和華的這七眼，遍察全地。

彼得還在說話的時候，聖靈降在所有聽道的人身上，

約翰來了，不吃也不喝，人說他是鬼附的；人子來了，又吃又喝，人卻說：‘你看，這人貪食好酒，與稅吏和罪人為友。’但智慧藉著它所作的，就證實是公義的了。”

知道人心的神也為他們作證─賜聖靈給他們，像給我們一樣；而且他待他們和我們沒有分別，因為藉著信，他潔淨了他們的心。
