So then, let’s follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.

So let us do all we can to live in peace. And let us work hard to build up one another.

Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection.And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.

Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”

What is it then, brothers? When you come together, each one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has another language, or has an interpretation. Let all things be done to build each other up.

Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.

If therefore there is any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,make my joy full by being like- minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t boast and don’t lie against the truth.This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.

Again, do you think that we are excusing ourselves to you? In the sight of God we speak in Christ. But all things, beloved, are for your edifying.

So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the building up of the assembly.Therefore let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the“ Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn’t know what you say?For you most certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.

and not to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes, rather than God’s stewardship, which is in faith—

Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace.
