I do not mean your own conscience, but the other person’s. For why is my freedom judged by another person’s conscience?If I partake with thanks, why am I slandered because of something I give thanks for?

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Try to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes.

We are taking this precaution so no one can criticize us about this large sum administered by us.For we are making provision for what is right, not only before the Lord but also before men.

Stay away from every kind of evil.
