Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

所以，不要讓你們認為好的事被別人詬病。

所以不可讓你們所看為善的受着毁謗。

所以，不要讓你們看為好的事受到毀謗，

毋令爾之善、為人所謗、

勿以爾之可自由者、令人譭謗、

慎勿以所以為善者、令人毀謗、

是故勿以爾之所長、轉成獲罪之由。

Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil.

So suppose you know something is good. Then don’t let it be spoken of as if it were evil.

So do not let what you regard as good be spoken of as evil.

Then you will not be criticized for doing something you believe is good.

Therefore, do not let your good be slandered,

Therefore do not let what is for you a good thing be spoken of as evil;

Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;

Therefore, do not let your good be slandered,

Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

Therefore do not let what you consider good be spoken of as evil.

Then don’t let your good be slandered,

conscience, I say, not thine own, but the other’s; for why is my liberty judged by another conscience?If I partake with thankfulness, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

Render to no man evil for evil. Take thought for things honorable in the sight of all men.

avoiding this, that any man should blame us in the matter of this bounty which is ministered by us:for we take thought for things honorable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
