弟兄姊妹，不要彼此批評。批評、論斷弟兄姊妹就等於是批評、論斷律法。如果你論斷律法，你就不是遵行律法的人，而是以審判者自居。

你們為什麼不自己明辨是非呢？

為了避免有人毀謗我們的職分，我們凡事儘量不妨礙別人，

弟兄姊妹，我勸你們要留意那些製造分裂、設置障礙、背離你們所學之道的人，你們要避開他們。

但你們要小心，不要讓你們的自由絆倒那些信心軟弱的人。如果有人看見你這明白以上道理的人竟然坐在偶像的廟中吃喝，他雖然良心不安，豈不還是會放膽吃獻給偶像的祭物嗎？這樣，你的知識反而令那軟弱的人，就是基督捨命救回的弟兄沉淪。你們這樣得罪弟兄，傷了他脆弱的良心，就是得罪基督。所以，如果我吃某些食物會令我的弟兄在信仰上跌倒，我就情願永遠不吃，免得令他們跌倒。

誰使一個卑微的弟兄失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石拴在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。

不要成為猶太人、希臘人或上帝教會的絆腳石，

「不要論斷別人，免得你們被論斷。

你是誰，竟然批評別人的僕人？他做得是否合宜，自然有他的主人負責。他必能做得合宜，因為主能使他做得合宜。

耶和華說：「要修路，修路，鋪平道路，清除我子民路上的障礙。」

這世界有禍了！因為裡面充滿了引人犯罪的事。這樣的事是免不了的，但那些引人犯罪的人有禍了！

你們自行斟酌吧，女人向上帝禱告時不蒙頭合適嗎？

不過有幾件事我要責備你，你那裡有人隨從巴蘭的教導。這巴蘭從前教巴勒在以色列人面前佈下網羅，使他們吃祭過偶像的食物、犯淫亂的罪。

你們這樣做難道不是偏心待人，心懷惡意地判斷人嗎？

那麼，你為什麼論斷弟兄姊妹呢？為什麼輕視弟兄姊妹呢？將來我們都要一同站在上帝的審判臺前。

為什麼會這樣呢？因為他們不憑信心，只靠自己的行為去追求義，結果就在那塊「絆腳石」上跌倒了。正如聖經上說：「看啊！我在錫安放了一塊絆腳石，一塊使人跌倒的磐石。但信靠祂的人必不致蒙羞。」

但你做的醜事給了仇敵褻瀆耶和華的機會，所以你這個孩子必定死。」

使你們知道怎樣擇善而從，做誠實無過的人，一直到基督再來的日子，

所以，我建議年輕的寡婦再嫁，生兒育女，料理家務，不要給仇敵毀謗的機會，

耶穌立刻轉過身來責備彼得說：「撒旦，退到我後面去！你是我的絆腳石，因為你不考慮上帝的意思，只考慮人的意思。」

因為基督的愛激勵我們，因為我們確信：基督一人既代替所有的人死了，所有的人就都死了。

大衛也說：「願他們的宴席成為網羅、陷阱、絆腳石，給他們帶來報應；

不可咒罵聾子，也不可絆倒盲人，應當敬畏你們的上帝。我是耶和華。

「人子啊，這些人在心裡立起偶像，把導致犯罪的絆腳石放在自己面前，我豈能讓他們來求問？
