因为全部律法都包括在“爱邻如己”这一句话之内了。

凡人所当得的，就给他。当得粮的，给他纳粮；当得税的，给他上税；当惧怕的，惧怕他；当恭敬的，恭敬他。

你的手若有行善的力量，不可推辞，要施与那应得的人。你若手头方便，不可对邻舍说：“去吧，明天再来，我必给你。”

经上记着：“要爱邻如己”，你们若切实守这至尊的律法，你们就做得很好。

我赐给你们一条新命令，乃是叫你们彼此相爱；我怎样爱你们，你们也要怎样彼此相爱。

除此以外，还要穿上爱心，因为爱是贯通全德的。

但命令的目的就是爱；这爱是出于清洁的心、无愧的良心和无伪的信心。

“困苦贫穷的雇工，无论是你的弟兄，或是住在你境内，在你城里寄居的，你都不可欺负他。要当日给他工钱，不可等到日落，因为他困苦，需要靠工钱过活，免得他因你的缘故求告耶和华，罪就归于你了。
