凡事都不可亏欠人，但在彼此相爱方面要常常觉得做得不够。一个人爱别人，就成全了律法。

人若有爱心，就不会作恶害人，所以爱成全了律法。

因为全部的律法可以总结成一句话：“要爱邻如己”。

凡是别人该得的，都要给他。该得米粮的，就纳粮给他；该得税款的，就缴税给他；该惧怕的，就惧怕他；该尊敬的，就尊敬他。

倘若有力量行善，就当帮助有需要的人，不要推托。倘若可以帮忙，就不可对有求于你的邻人说：“回去吧，明天再来，我必给你！”

如果你们能切实行出圣经中“要爱邻如己”这条至尊的律法，就好了。

我赐给你们一条新命令——你们要彼此相爱。我怎样爱你们，你们也要怎样彼此相爱。

最重要的是要有爱，爱能把一切完美地联合在一起。

制止这些人的目的是为了爱，这爱来自于清洁的心、无亏的良心和真实无伪的信心。

“不可欺压穷苦的雇工，不论他们是你们的同胞，还是住在你们城中的外族人。你们要在每天日落前付给他们工钱，因为他们穷苦，靠工钱维生；否则他们向耶和华控诉你们，你们就有罪了。
