Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ as if he were your clothing. Don’t think about how to satisfy sinful desires.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.

Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and exiles to abstain from sinful desires that wage war against the soul.

Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

So then, brothers and sisters, we are not obligated to the flesh to live according to the flesh,because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.Because of these, God’s wrath is coming upon the disobedient,and you once walked in these things when you were living in them.But now, put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For everything in the world— the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride in one’s possessions— is not from the Father, but is from the world.And the world with its lust is passing away, but the one who does the will of God remains forever.

I clothed myself in righteousness, and it enveloped me; my just decisions were like a robe and a turban.
