And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

緣此、知時已屆、今宜自寐而寤、蓋我儕得救、較初信時為尤近、

凡此皆所當行、因知屆期、今宜寤矣、較我初信之時、福更近之、

既知斯時即爾由睡宜醒之時、則當遵此以行、蓋我儕得救、今較初信之時愈近矣、

且吾人亦不可昧於時義、須知今茲已為醒於睡夢之時。何則、吾人蒙救之日、已較初信之時、日近一日矣。

And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

When you do these things, keep in mind the times we are living in. The hour has already come for you to wake up from your sleep. The full effects of our salvation are closer now than when we first believed in Christ.

Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.

This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

Besides this, since you know the time, it is already the hour for you to wake up from sleep, because now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.

Therefore He says:“ Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming— in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning—lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!”

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless;and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation— as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.For when they say,“ Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”

Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

He who testifies to these things says,“ Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

“ And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none,those who weep as though they did not weep, those who rejoice as though they did not rejoice, those who buy as though they did not possess,and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.

Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter,“ What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

So the captain came to him, and said to him,“ What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God; perhaps your God will consider us, so that we may not perish.”

The burden against Dumah. He calls to me out of Seir,“ Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?”The watchman said,“ The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire; Return! Come back!”

But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.“ And at midnight a cry was heard:‘ Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

and in the morning,‘ It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.
