According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the standard of one’s faith;

We all have gifts. They differ according to the grace God has given to each of us. Do you have the gift of prophecy? Then use it according to the faith you have.

In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy,[ let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith;

And we have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith.

I wish that all people were just like me. But each has his own gift from God, one person in this way and another in that way.

Based on the gift each one has received, use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God.If anyone speaks, it should be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, it should be from the strength God provides, so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.

And God has placed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next miracles, then gifts of healing, helping, managing, various kinds of languages.Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do miracles?Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in other languages? Do all interpret?But desire the greater gifts. And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,

Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.There are different ministries, but the same Lord.And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person.A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,to another, the performing of miracles, to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits, to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages.But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

But the person who prophesies speaks to people for edification, encouragement, and consolation.The person who speaks in another language builds himself up, but he who prophesies builds up the church.I wish all of you spoke in other languages, but even more that you prophesied. The person who prophesies is greater than the person who speaks in languages, unless he interprets so that the church may be built up.

If I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.

For I want very much to see you, so I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you,

In the church that was at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen, a close friend of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the saying:“ Nothing beyond what is written.” The purpose is that none of you will be inflated with pride in favor of one person over another.For who makes you so superior? that by Him you were enriched in everything— in all speech and all knowledge.In this way, the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you,so that you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts, and above all that you may prophesy.

Both Judas and Silas, who were also prophets themselves, encouraged the brothers and strengthened them with a long message.

Therefore, all who are mature should think this way. And if you think differently about anything, God will reveal this also to you.

For if the eagerness is there, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.

For you can all prophesy one by one, so that everyone may learn and everyone may be encouraged.And the prophets’ spirits are under the control of the prophets,

Because of this, the wisdom of God said,‘ I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’

This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:

This is why I am sending you prophets, sages, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and hound from town to town.

Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should evaluate.

Don’t despise prophecies,

But if all are prophesying and some unbeliever or uninformed person comes in, he is convicted by all and is judged by all.

A Jew named Apollos, a native Alexandrian, an eloquent man who was powerful in the use of the Scriptures, arrived in Ephesus.This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught the things about Jesus accurately, although he knew only John’s baptism.He began to speak boldly in the synagogue. After he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace.For he vigorously refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating through the Scriptures that Jesus is the Messiah.

This man had four virgin daughters who prophesied.

And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
