人以橫逆相加、望我兄弟無思自為報復、靜候天討可也。主不云乎、『報復乃吾之事也；賞善罰惡、有吾在焉。』

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written:“ It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord.

My dear friends, don’t try to get even. Leave room for God to show his anger. It is written,“ I am the God who judges people. I will pay them back,”( Deuteronomy 32:35) says the Lord.

Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written,“ Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say,“ I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.

Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God’s wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.

Do not say,“ I shall do the same to him as he has done to me; I will repay the person according to his work.”

Do not say,“ I will repay evil”; Wait for the Lord, and He will save you.

Never repay evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all people.

You shall not take vengeance, nor hold any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.

But I say to you, do not show opposition against an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other toward him also.

and that no one violate the rights and take advantage of his brother or sister in the matter, because the Lord is the avenger in all these things, just as we also told you previously and solemnly warned you.

Rejoice, you nations, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And will return vengeance on His adversaries, And will atone for His land and His people.”

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a servant of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil.

“ But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,bless those who curse you, pray for those who are abusive to you.Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic from him either.

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart rejoice when he stumbles,Otherwise, the Lord will see and be displeased, And turn His anger away from him.Do not get upset because of evildoers Or be envious of the wicked;

and blessed be your discernment, and blessed be you, who have kept me this day from bloodshed and from avenging myself by my own hand.

A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; The Lord is avenging and wrathful. The Lord takes vengeance on His adversaries, And He reserves wrath for His enemies.The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In the gale and the storm is His way, And clouds are the dust beneath His feet.

Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth!Rise up, Judge of the earth, Pay back retribution to the proud.How long, Lord, shall the wicked— How long shall the wicked triumph?

“ Now then, my lord, as the Lord lives, and as your soul lives, since the Lord has restrained you from shedding blood, and from avenging yourself by your own hand, now then, may your enemies and those who seek evil against my lord, be like Nabal.

But He turned and rebuked them.And they went on to another village.

‘ The Lord God says this:“ Because Edom has acted against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has incurred great guilt, and avenged themselves upon them,”
