Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

And do you seek great things for yourself? Do not seek them; for behold, I will bring adversity on all flesh,” says the Lord.“ But I will give your life to you as a prize in all places, wherever you go.”’”

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise.

Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.

For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.

But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.

Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,

I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren?

He who mocks the poor reproaches his Maker; He who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished.

Lord, my heart is not haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me.Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? (niv)

“ If I have denied justice to any of my servants, whether male or female, when they had a grievance against me,what will I do when God confronts me? What will I answer when called to account?Did not he who made me in the womb make them?
