When he arrived, they brought him into the room upstairs; and all the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing all the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them.But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said,“ Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.And he gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters: you know the household of Stephanas, that they are the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to ministry to the saints;

having a reputation for good works; and if she has brought up children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has assisted those in distress, and if she has devoted herself to every good work.

Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening as Lot was sitting at the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he stood up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.And he said,“ Now behold, my lords, please turn aside into your servant’s house, and spend the night, and wash your feet; then you may rise early and go on your way.” They said,“ No, but we shall spend the night in the public square.”Yet he strongly urged them, so they turned aside to him and entered his house; and he prepared a feast for them and baked unleavened bread, and they ate.

but now, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.For they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are indebted to do them a service also in material things.Therefore, when I have finished this, and have put my seal on this fruit of theirs, I will go on by way of you to Spain.
