as it is written:“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”

It is written,“ God made it hard for them to understand. He gave them eyes that could not see. He gave them ears that could not hear. And they are still like that today.”( Deuteronomy 29:4; Isaiah 29:10)

As the Scriptures say,“ God has put them into a deep sleep. To this day he has shut their eyes so they do not see, and closed their ears so they do not hear.”

但耶和華到今日還沒有使你們心能明白，眼能看見，耳能聽見。

因為耶和華將沉睡的靈澆灌你們，遮住你們的眼，眼就是先知，覆蓋你們的頭，頭就是先見。

但他們的心地剛硬，直到今日誦讀舊約的時候，這同樣的面紗還沒有揭去；因為這面紗在基督裏才被廢去。然而直到今日，每逢誦讀摩西書的時候，面紗還在他們心上。

我之所以用比喻對他們講，是因為他們看卻看不清，聽卻聽不見，也不明白。在他們身上，正應驗了以賽亞的預言：『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白，看了又看，卻看不清。

「人子啊，你住在悖逆之家中；他們有眼可看卻看不見，有耳可聽卻聽不到，因為他們是悖逆之家。

「愚昧無知的百姓啊，你們有眼不看，有耳不聽，現在當聽這話。

這樣，這些國家又懼怕耶和華，又事奉他們的偶像。他們子子孫孫也都照樣行，效法他們的祖宗，直到今日。

他說：『你去對這百姓說：你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻看不清。

耶穌對他們說：「神國的奧祕只讓你們知道，若是對外人講，凡事就用比喻，要他們看了又看，卻看不清，聽了又聽，卻不明白，免得他們回轉過來，獲得赦免。」

他說：「神國的奧祕只讓你們知道，至於別人，就用比喻，要他們看也看不見，聽也不明白。」

他說：「你去告訴這百姓說：『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不曉得。』

直到如今仍照先前的風俗去行。他們不敬畏耶和華，不遵守耶和華吩咐雅各後裔的律例、典章、律法、誡命；雅各就是從前耶和華起名叫以色列的。
