正如經上所記的：『上帝給了他們麻木的靈，不能看的眼，不能聽的耳，直到今天這日子。』

as it is written:“ God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that could not see and ears that could not hear, to this very day.”

It is written,“ God made it hard for them to understand. He gave them eyes that could not see. He gave them ears that could not hear. And they are still like that today.”( Deuteronomy 29:4; Isaiah 29:10)

但是到今日永恆主還沒有給你們能明白的心、能看見的眼、能聽見的耳。

因為永恆主將沉睡之靈傾注於你們；使你們的眼緊合着，使你們的頭蒙蓋着！

無奈他們的心意卻成了頑梗不化的。直到今天的日子，在宣讀《舊約》的時候、同樣的帕子還是存在着、沒有揭去；因為只有在基督裏那才被消滅掉。是的，直到今天，每逢《摩西》書被宣讀時候、還有帕子放在人們心上。

我用比喻對他們說話，是因為他們看卻看不見，聽卻聽不見，也不領悟。以賽亞所傳講的神言、正應驗在他們身上了；他說：「你們要聽了又聽，卻決不領悟；要看了又看，卻決看不見。

『人子啊，你住在叛逆之家中間；他們有眼睛可以看，卻不看，有耳朵可以聽，卻不聽，因為他們是叛逆之家。

『愚昧而無心思的人民哪，有眼不能看、有耳不能聽的啊，你們要聽這話。

所以這些列國的人又敬畏永恆主，又服事他們自己的雕像；他們的子子孫孫也這樣：他們的列祖怎樣行，直到今日他們也怎樣行。

他說：「你去告訴這人民說：你們要聽了又聽，卻決不領悟；要看了又看，卻決不看見；

耶穌對他們說：『上帝國的奧祕是給予你們的；至於外人呢、一切都用比喻；使「他們看了又看，卻看不見；聽了又聽，卻不曉悟；免得他們回轉過來，而得赦免！」』

耶穌說：『上帝國的奧祕是給你們知道的；對於其他的人呢、就用比喻，使他們看是看，卻看不見；聽是聽，卻不曉悟！

他說：你去對這人民說：『你們聽了又聽吧！但總不明白！你們看了又看吧！但總不曉得！

直到今日、他們還是照先前的規矩去行。他們不全心敬畏永恆主，也不全按他們自己的條例規矩而行，又不按照永恆主所吩咐雅各子孫的律法誡命：雅各、是從前永恆主起名叫以色列的。
