但耶和華至今還沒有賜給你們能明白的心、能看見的眼、能聽清的耳。

因為耶和華把沉睡的靈傾倒在你們身上，祂封住你們的眼睛，蓋住你們的頭。你們的眼睛就是先知，你們的頭就是先見。

但以色列人的心剛硬，直到今日，他們每逢讀舊約的時候，同樣的帕子還在那裡，沒有揭去。因為只有在基督裡，那帕子才能被除去。時至今日，每逢他們讀摩西律法的時候，帕子仍然蒙在他們心上。

我用比喻教導他們是因為他們視而不見，聽而不聞，聞而不悟。以賽亞的預言正應驗在他們身上，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。

「人子啊，你住在叛逆的人當中。他們有眼睛卻視而不見，有耳朵卻聽而不聞，因為他們是叛逆的人。

『聽著，你們這群愚昧無知的人啊，你們視而不見，聽而不聞。

那些移民到撒瑪利亞各城的外族人既敬拜耶和華，又供奉自己的偶像。直到今日，他們的子孫仍是這樣。

祂說，『你去告訴百姓，你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。

耶穌說：「上帝國的奧祕只讓你們知道，對於外人，我只用比喻，使他們『看了又看，卻不領悟；聽了又聽，卻不明白，免得他們回心轉意，得到赦免。』」

耶穌便說：「上帝國的奧祕只讓你們知道，對其他人，我就用比喻，使他們看卻看不見，聽卻聽不明白。

祂說：「你去告訴以色列人，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。』

直到現在，他們仍然執迷不悟，不敬畏耶和華，也不遵行耶和華賜給雅各子孫的律例、典章、法度和誡命。耶和華曾給雅各取名叫以色列，
