深哉富哉天主智慧知識、其法不可測、其道不可尋、其道不可尋或經作其蹤不可追云、

嗚呼、天主之聰明睿知、不亦淵淵其淵乎哉！孰能測其思維、探其跡蹤耶？

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

How very rich are God’s wisdom and knowledge! How he judges is more than we can understand! The way he deals with people is more than we can know!

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!

Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:

O LORD, how great are thy works![ and] thy thoughts are very deep.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly[ places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?[ It is] as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?The measure thereof[ is] longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

[ Touching] the Almighty, we cannot find him out:[ he is] excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

He hath made every[ thing] beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

Thy righteousness[ is] like the great mountains; thy judgments[ are] a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

To whom God would make known what[ is] the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

Thy way[ is] in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.

Many, O LORD my God,[ are] thy wonderful works[ which] thou hast done, and thy thoughts[ which are] to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee:[ if] I would declare and speak[ of them], they are more than can be numbered.

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in[ his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

And all the inhabitants of the earth[ are] reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and[ among] the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Clouds and darkness[ are] round about him: righteousness and judgment[ are] the habitation of his throne.

The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings[ is] unsearchable.

Oh that[ men] would praise the LORD[ for] his goodness, and[ for] his wonderful works to the children of men!For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,[ being] bound in affliction and iron;Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and[ there was] none to help.Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble,[ and] he saved them out of their distresses.He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.Oh that[ men] would praise the LORD[ for] his goodness, and[ for] his wonderful works to the children of men!For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble,[ and] he saveth them out of their distresses.He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered[ them] from their destructions.Oh that[ men] would praise the LORD[ for] his goodness, and[ for] his wonderful works to the children of men!And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end.Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.Oh that[ men] would praise the LORD[ for] his goodness, and[ for] his wonderful works to the children of men!Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness,[ where there is] no way.Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh[ him] families like a flock.The righteous shall see[ it], and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.Whoso[ is] wise, and will observe these[ things], even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

May be able to comprehend with all saints what[ is] the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

Teach us what we shall say unto him;[ for] we cannot order[ our speech] by reason of darkness.

Lo, these[ are] parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.
