嗚呼、天主之聰明睿知、不亦淵淵其淵乎哉！孰能測其思維、探其跡蹤耶？

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

How very rich are God’s wisdom and knowledge! How he judges is more than we can understand! The way he deals with people is more than we can know!

Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!

Oh, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and untraceable his ways!

who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number:

How great are your works, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep!

Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?

that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ,in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

“ Can you find out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limit of the Almighty?It is higher than heaven— what can you do? Deeper than Sheol— what can you know?Its measure is longer than the earth and broader than the sea.

The Almighty— we cannot find him; he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.

in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory—

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord.

To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen.

You have multiplied, O Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.

so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

who does great things beyond searching out, and marvelous things beyond number.

To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

all the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him,“ What have you done?”

Clouds and thick darkness are all around him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, so the heart of kings is unsearchable.

Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things.Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in irons,for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High.So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor; they fell down, with none to help.Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart.Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!For he shatters the doors of bronze and cuts in two the bars of iron.Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;they loathed any kind of food, and they drew near to the gates of death.Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!And let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of his deeds in songs of joy!Some went down to the sea in ships, doing business on the great waters;they saw the deeds of the Lord, his wondrous works in the deep.For he commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea.They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths; their courage melted away in their evil plight;they reeled and staggered like drunken men and were at their wits’ end.Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man!Let them extol him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.He turns rivers into a desert, springs of water into thirsty ground,a fruitful land into a salty waste, because of the evil of its inhabitants.He turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water.And there he lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in;they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful yield.By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their livestock diminish.When they are diminished and brought low through oppression, evil, and sorrow,he pours contempt on princes and makes them wander in trackless wastes;but he raises up the needy out of affliction and makes their families like flocks.The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth.Whoever is wise, let him attend to these things; let them consider the steadfast love of the Lord.

may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

Teach us what we shall say to him; we cannot draw up our case because of darkness.

Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways, and how small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”

Why do you contend against him, saying,‘ He will answer none of man’s words’?
