do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

So don’t think you are better than the other branches. Remember, you don’t give life to the root. The root gives life to you.

But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.

既是这样，哪里可夸口呢？没有可夸的。是藉什么法呢？功德吗？不是！是藉信主之法。

这样，你们不再是外人或客旅，是与圣徒同国，是上帝家里的人了，被建造在使徒和先知的根基上，而基督耶稣自己为房角石，

彼得回答他说：“即使众人为你的缘故跌倒，我也绝不跌倒。”

所以，自以为站得稳的人必须谨慎，免得跌倒。

所以，人作后嗣是出于信，因此就属乎恩，以致应许保证归给所有的后裔，不但归给那属于律法的，也归给那效法亚伯拉罕之信的人。亚伯拉罕所信的是那叫死人复活、使无变为有的上帝，在这位上帝面前亚伯拉罕成为我们众人的父，如经上所记：“我已经立你作多国之父。”

以色列王回答说：“你们告诉他说，‘刚束上腰带的，不要像已卸下的那样夸口。’”

“万军之耶和华如此说：将来还有众百姓和许多城镇的居民要来。这城的居民必到那城，说：‘我们快去恳求耶和华的恩，寻求万军之耶和华；我自己也要去。’必有许多民族和强盛的国家来到耶路撒冷寻求万军之耶和华，恳求耶和华的恩。万军之耶和华如此说：在那些日子，列国中说各种语言的人，必有十个人强拉住一个犹大人衣服的边，说：‘我们要与你们同去，因为我们听见上帝与你们同在了。’”

耶稣向那些自以为义而藐视别人的人讲了这比喻：“有两个人上圣殿去祷告，一个是法利赛人，一个是税吏。法利赛人独自站着，自言自语地祷告说：‘上帝啊，我感谢你，我不像别人勒索、不义、奸淫，也不像这个税吏。

既然你们属于基督，你们就是亚伯拉罕的子孙，是照着应许承受产业的了。

你们所敬拜的，你们不知道；我们所敬拜的，我们知道，因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。
