你就不可向那些樹枝誇口。你若要誇口，就應當想想：不是你支持著樹根，而是樹根支持著你。

do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

So don’t think you are better than the other branches. Remember, you don’t give life to the root. The root gives life to you.

do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you.

But you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root.

不錯，他們因為不信而被折下來，你因著信才站立得住。只是不可心高氣傲，倒要存畏懼的心。

我還有別的羊，不在這羊圈裡；我必須把牠們領來，牠們也要聽我的聲音，並且要合成一群，歸於一個牧人。

在滅亡以先，必有驕傲；在跌倒以前，心中高傲。

這樣，有甚麼可誇的呢？沒有可誇的了。憑甚麼準則說沒有的呢？憑行為嗎？不是的，而是以信心為準則說的。

這樣看來，你們不再是外人和客旅，而是與聖徒一同作國民，是神家裡的人了，並且建造在使徒和先知的根基上，基督耶穌自己就是奠基石，

彼得對他說：“就算所有的人都因你的緣故後退，我卻永不後退。”

所以，那自以為站得穩的，應當謹慎，免得跌倒。

所以，成為後嗣是因著信，為的是要按著神的恩典，使給所有後裔的應許堅定不移，不但臨到那屬於律法的人，也臨到那效法亞伯拉罕而信的人。亞伯拉罕在神面前作我們眾人的父，

以色列王回答說：“你們去告訴他，佩戴武器的人，不可像解除武器的那樣自誇。”

“萬軍之耶和華這樣說：‘將來還有萬族的人和多個城市的居民要來。一城的居民到另一城去，對他們說：我們快去懇求耶和華施恩，求告萬軍之耶和華；我自己也去。必有很多的民族和強大的國家前來，在耶路撒冷求告萬軍之耶和華，懇求他施恩。’“萬軍之耶和華這樣說：‘在那些日子，必有十個說不同方言，來自列國的人，緊抓住一個猶大人的衣襟，說：讓我們與你們同去吧，因為我們聽見神與你們同在。’”

耶穌向那些自恃為義、輕視別人的人，講了這個比喻：“有兩個人上聖殿去祈禱，一個是法利賽人，一個是稅吏。法利賽人站著，禱告給自己聽，這樣說：‘神啊，我感謝你，我不像別人，勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。

如果你們屬於基督，就是亞伯拉罕的後裔，是按照應許承受產業的了。

你們敬拜你們所不知道的，我們卻敬拜我們所知道的，因為救恩是從猶太人出來的。
