For since their rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, their acceptance will be even more wonderful. It will be life for those who were dead!

若他们被丢弃，天下就得与神和好，他们被收纳，岂不是死而复生吗？

如果他们被丢弃，世界因而得以与上帝和好；他们被收纳，岂不就是从死人中复生吗？

如果他们被抛弃，人类便有机会与上帝和好，那么，当他们被接纳的时候，又将怎样呢？岂不是要死而复生吗？

实际上，如果他们被丢弃，使世人与神和好了，那么他们蒙接纳，如果不是从死人中复生，又是什么呢？

實際上，如果他們被丟棄，使世人與神和好了，那麼他們蒙接納，如果不是從死人中復生，又是什麼呢？

若彼之見棄、為斯世復和於上帝、則其見納也、豈非自死而生乎、

若以色列人始見棄、因而舉世得親於上帝、後亦見納、非出死入生乎。

若彼之見棄、使世復和、則彼之見納何如、豈非由死復生乎、○

何則、若彼之被棄已為舉世重歸天主之因緣、則彼之被納、又為何如將非轉死為生、大地回春乎！

For if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

When they were not accepted, it became possible for the whole world to be brought back to God. So what will happen when they are accepted? It will be like life from the dead.

For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

For if their rejection brings reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

For if their rejection proves to be the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

For if the casting away of them is the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

For if their rejection brings reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

For if the casting away of them[ be] the reconciling of the world, what[ shall] the receiving[ of them be], but life from the dead?

For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?

For if the rejection of them is the reconciling of the world, what would their acceptance be, but life from the dead?

For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

But after three and a half days, God breathed life into them, and they stood up! Terror struck all who were staring at them.

for this son of mine was dead and has now returned to life. He was lost, but now he is found.’ So the party began.

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead,“ Come back to God!”

Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves.Now if the Gentiles were enriched because the people of Israel turned down God’s offer of salvation, think how much greater a blessing the world will share when they finally accept it.

“ A period of seventy sets of seven has been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish their rebellion, to put an end to their sin, to atone for their guilt, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to confirm the prophetic vision, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones.He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out.Then he asked me,“ Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”“ O Sovereign Lord,” I replied,“ you alone know the answer to that.”Then he said to me,“ Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say,‘ Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord!This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again!I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons.Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them.Then he said to me,“ Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’”So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet— a great army.Then he said to me,“ Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. They are saying,‘ We have become old, dry bones— all hope is gone. Our nation is finished.’Therefore, prophesy to them and say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel.When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the Lord.I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the Lord has spoken!’”

And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ— everything in heaven and on earth.

We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!’”

I ask, then, has God rejected his own people, the nation of Israel? Of course not! I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham and a member of the tribe of Benjamin.No, God has not rejected his own people, whom he chose from the very beginning. Do you realize what the Scriptures say about this? Elijah the prophet complained to God about the people of Israel and said,

and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.

Then I saw thrones, and the people sitting on them had been given the authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony about Jesus and for proclaiming the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his statue, nor accepted his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They all came to life again, and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.This is the first resurrection.( The rest of the dead did not come back to life until the thousand years had ended.)Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.
