那麼，我再問，他們失足是要他們跌倒嗎？絕對不是！因他們的過犯，救恩反而臨到外邦人，要激起他們嫉妒的心。

我且说，他们失脚是要他们跌倒吗？断乎不是！反倒因他们的过失，救恩便临到外邦人，要激动他们发愤。

那么，我再问，他们失足是要他们跌倒吗？绝对不是！因他们的过犯，救恩反而临到外邦人，要激起他们嫉妒的心。

所以我要问，难道以色列人跌倒了，是要他们败落吗？绝对不是！相反，因他们的过犯，救恩就临到了外邦人，为要激起以色列人的嫉妒之心。

我且說，他們失腳是要他們跌倒嗎？斷乎不是！反倒因他們的過失，救恩便臨到外邦人，要激動他們發憤。

那麼我要說，難道他們猶太人失了腳，是要全然跌倒麼？斷乎不是。我乃是說，因他們的過犯、拯救便臨到了外國人，好激動他們的羨妒。

所以我要問，難道以色列人跌倒了，是要他們敗落嗎？絕對不是！相反，因他們的過犯，救恩就臨到了外邦人，為要激起以色列人的嫉妒之心。

然則彼蹶至於傾陷乎、非也、乃以其過犯而拯及異邦、致發其憤也、

曰、以色列人、豈蹶而躓歟、曰、非也、然彼躓、異邦人乃得救、使以色列人發奮、

我曰、以色列人躓蹶、以致傾仆乎、非也、乃因其躓蹶、躓蹶原文作過失下同異邦人得救、而使以色列人發奮、

然則義塞人之躓也、將一厥而不振乎？無是理也！夫因彼之顛墜、救恩乃普及於異邦之人、是亦所以激發之耳。

Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.

Again, here is what I ask. The Israelites didn’t trip and fall once and for all time, did they? Not at all! Because Israel sinned, the Gentiles can be saved. That will make Israel jealous of them.

So I ask, did they stumble in order that they might fall? By no means! Rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.

Did God’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves.

I ask, then, have they stumbled so as to fall? Absolutely not! On the contrary, by their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.

I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? Far from it! But by their wrongdoing salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous.

I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles.

I say then, Did they stumble that they might fall? God forbid: but by their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

I ask, then, have they stumbled in order to fall? Absolutely not! On the contrary, by their stumbling, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel jealous.

I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but[ rather] through their fall salvation[ is come] unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall, did they? Absolutely not! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel jealous.

I ask then, did they stumble that they might fall? May it never be! But by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

我再問，以色列人不知道嗎？先有摩西說：「我要以不成國的激起你們嫉妒；我要以愚頑的國惹起你們發怒。」

惡人死亡，豈是我所喜悅的呢？我豈不是喜悅他回轉離開所行的道而存活嗎？這是主耶和華說的。

希望可以激起我骨肉之親的嫉妒，好救他們一些人。

你要對他們說，主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我斷不喜悅惡人死亡，惟喜悅惡人轉離他所行的道而存活。以色列家啊，你們回轉，回轉離開惡道吧！何必死亡呢？

我不喜歡有任何人死亡，所以你們當回轉，要存活！這是主耶和華說的。」

於是保羅和巴拿巴放膽說：「神的道本應先傳給你們；只因你們棄絕這道，斷定自己不配得永生，我們就轉向外邦人。因為主曾這樣吩咐我們：『我已經立你作萬邦之光，使你施行我的救恩，直到地極。』」外邦人聽見這話很歡喜，讚美主的道，凡被指定得永生的人都信了。

那麼，我要問，神棄絕了他的百姓嗎？絕對沒有！因為我也是以色列人，亞伯拉罕的後裔，屬便雅憫支派的。

如果他們的過犯成為世界的富足，他們的缺乏成為外邦人的富足，更何況他們全數得救呢？

同樣，他們現在也是不順服，叫他們因着施給你們的憐憫，現在也就蒙憐憫。

當他們抗拒他、毀謗他的時候，他就抖掉衣裳的灰塵，對他們說：「你們的罪歸到你們自己的頭上，與我無干。從今以後，我要往外邦人那裏去。」

他所說的話，有的信，有的不信。他們間彼此不合，就分散了；未散以先，保羅說了一句話：「聖靈藉以賽亞先知向你們祖宗所說的話是對的。他說：『你去對這百姓說：你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻看不清。因為這百姓的心麻木，耳朵塞着，眼睛閉着，免得眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裏明白，回轉過來，我會醫治他們。』所以，你們當知道，神這救恩已經傳給外邦人；他們會聽的。」

看見主對我說：『你趕緊離開耶路撒冷，越快越好，因為這裏的人不接受你為我作的見證。』我就說：『主啊，他們都知道，我從前在各會堂裏把信你的人監禁，又鞭打他們。當你的見證人司提反被害流血的時候，我也站在一旁贊同；又為打死他的人看守衣裳。』主對我說：『你去吧！我要差你到遠方外邦人那裏去。』」

他們走出會堂的時候，眾人請他們在下一個安息日再講這些話給他們聽。
