Moses writes about how the law could help a person do what God requires. He writes,“ The person who does these things will live by them.”( Leviticus 18:5)

I gave them my rules. I made my laws known to them. The person who obeys them will live by them.

The law is not based on faith. In fact, it is just the opposite. It teaches that“ the person who does these things will live by them.”( Leviticus 18:5)

I found that the commandment that was supposed to bring life actually brought death.

He answered,“‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength and with all your mind.’( Deuteronomy 6:5) And,‘ Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ ”( Leviticus 19:18)“ You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied.“ Do that, and you will live.”
