But to Israel he says, All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and defiant people.

其言以色列人曰、我終日舉手、勸不信非我之民矣、

其言言或作語以色列、則曰、我終日伸手、招不信服而違逆之民、

而於義塞人則曰：『我終日舉手以招斯民、而斯民頑強、不肯回頭。』

But concerning Israel he says,“ All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

But Isaiah also speaks about what God says concerning Israel. God said,“ All day long I have held out my hands. I have held them out to a stubborn people who do not obey me.”( Isaiah 65:2)

But of Israel he says,“ All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

But regarding Israel, God said,“ All day long I opened my arms to them, but they were disobedient and rebellious.”

But as for Israel, He says,“ I have spread out My hands all day long to a disobedient and obstinate people.”

But to Israel he says:“ All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people.”

But as to Israel he saith, All the day long did I spread out my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

But to Israel he says: All day long I have spread out My hands to a disobedient and defiant people.

But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

But about Israel he says,“ All day long I held out my hands to this disobedient and stubborn people!”

But about Israel he says,“ All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

I spread out my hands all day long to a rebellious people who walk in the path that is not good, following their own thoughts.These people continually anger me to my face, sacrificing in gardens, burning incense on bricks,sitting among the graves, spending nights in secret places, eating the meat of pigs, and putting polluted broth in their bowls.They say,‘ Keep to yourself, don’t come near me, for I am too holy for you!’ These practices are smoke in my nostrils, a fire that burns all day long.

Time and time again I have sent you all my servants the prophets, proclaiming,“ Turn, each one from his evil way, and correct your actions. Stop following other gods to serve them. Live in the land that I gave you and your ancestors.” But you did not pay attention or obey me.

“ For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.After agreeing with the workers on one denarius, he sent them into his vineyard for the day.When he went out about nine in the morning, he saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.He said to them,‘ You also go into my vineyard, and I’ll give you whatever is right.’ So off they went.About noon and about three, he went out again and did the same thing.Then about five he went and found others standing around and said to them,‘ Why have you been standing here all day doing nothing?’“‘ Because no one hired us,’ they said to him.“‘ You also go into my vineyard,’ he told them.When evening came, the owner of the vineyard told his foreman,‘ Call the workers and give them their pay, starting with the last and ending with the first.’“ When those who were hired about five came, they each received one denarius.So when the first ones came, they assumed they would get more, but they also received a denarius each.When they received it, they began to complain to the landowner:‘ These last men put in one hour, and you made them equal to us who bore the burden of the day’s work and the burning heat.’“ He replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I’m doing you no wrong. Didn’t you agree with me on a denarius?Take what’s yours and go. I want to give this last man the same as I gave you.Don’t I have the right to do what I want with what is mine? Are you jealous because I’m generous?’

by keeping us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. As a result, they are constantly filling up their sins to the limit, and wrath has overtaken them at last.

For I know how rebellious and stiff-necked you are. If you are rebelling against the LORD now, while I am still alive, how much more will you rebel after I am dead!

Since I called out and you refused, extended my hand and no one paid attention,

But the LORD told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected me as their king.They are doing the same thing to you that they have done to me, since the day I brought them out of Egypt until this day, abandoning me and worshiping other gods.

“ Listen to another parable: There was a landowner, who planted a vineyard, put a fence around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a watchtower. He leased it to tenant farmers and went away.When the time came to harvest fruit, he sent his servants to the farmers to collect his fruit.The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned a third.Again, he sent other servants, more than the first group, and they did the same to them.Finally, he sent his son to them.‘ They will respect my son,’ he said.“ But when the tenant farmers saw the son, they said to each other,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’So they seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”“ He will completely destroy those terrible men,” they told him,“ and lease his vineyard to other farmers who will give him his fruit at the harvest.”Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is what the Lord has done and it is wonderful in our eyes?Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit.

Paul and Barnabas boldly replied,“ It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.For this is what the Lord has commanded us: I have made you a light for the Gentiles to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”

But they were disobedient and rebelled against you. They flung your law behind their backs and killed your prophets who warned them in order to turn them back to you. They committed terrible blasphemies.

and A stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the word; they were destined for this.

So I sent you all my servants the prophets time and time again, saying,‘ Don’t commit this detestable action that I hate.’But they did not listen or pay attention; they did not turn from their evil or stop burning incense to other gods.So my fierce wrath poured out and burned in Judah’s cities and Jerusalem’s streets so that they became the desolate ruin they are today.

He sent his servants to summon those invited to the banquet, but they didn’t want to come.Again, he sent out other servants and said,‘ Tell those who are invited: See, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’“ But they paid no attention and went away, one to his own farm, another to his business,while the rest seized his servants, mistreated them, and killed them.The king was enraged, and he sent out his troops, killed those murderers, and burned down their city.

The LORD also said to me,‘ I have seen this people, and indeed, they are a stiff-necked people.

“ You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit. As your ancestors did, you do also.Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become.

and repentance for forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

The LORD sent all his servants the prophets to you time and time again, but you have not obeyed or even paid attention.

This is why I am sending you prophets, sages, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.So all the righteous blood shed on the earth will be charged to you, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar.Truly I tell you, all these things will come on this generation.“ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
