我再說：以色列人真的不明白嗎？首先，摩西說：“我要使你們對那不是子民的生嫉妒，對那無知的民族起忿怒。”

我再说，以色列人不知道吗？先有摩西说：“我要用那不成子民的，惹动你们的愤恨；我要用那无知的民，触动你们的怒气。”

我再问，以色列人不知道吗？先有摩西说：“我要以不成国的激起你们嫉妒；我要以愚顽的国惹起你们发怒。”

我再问，以色列人不知道吗？先有摩西说：“我要以不成国的激起你们嫉妒；我要以愚顽的国惹起你们发怒。”

我再问，难道以色列人不知道吗？首先，摩西说：“我要借无名之民挑起你们的嫉妒，用愚昧的国民激起你们的怒气。”

我再说：以色列人真的不明白吗？首先，摩西说：“我要使你们对那不是子民的生嫉妒，对那无知的民族起忿怒。”

我再说“以色列人难道不明白吗？”首先，摩西说：“我要用不是子民的，激起你们的嫉妒之心，用无知的民族激起你们的怒气。”

我再說「以色列人難道不明白嗎？」首先，摩西說：「我要用不是子民的，激起你們的嫉妒之心，用無知的民族激起你們的怒氣。」

我又曰、以色列民豈未知乎、昔摩西云、我將以異族發爾憤、且將以蚩氓觸爾怒、

余又曰、以色列人、豈未知乎、昔摩西曰、我將子異民、使爾發奮、子頑民、使爾激勵、

我又曰、以色列人豈未知乎、昔摩西曰、我將以異民、激爾嫉妒、將以愚民、激爾忿怒、

然則義塞人果未悟耶？摩西書曰：『吾將子異民、使爾激勵；子頑民、使爾發憤。』

Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,“ I will make you envious by those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.”

Again I ask,“ Didn’t Israel understand?” First, Moses says,“ I will use people who are not a nation to make you jealous. I will use a nation that has no understanding to make you angry.”( Deuteronomy 32:21)

But I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says,“ I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation I will make you angry.”

But I ask, did the people of Israel really understand? Yes, they did, for even in the time of Moses, God said,“ I will rouse your jealousy through people who are not even a nation. I will provoke your anger through the foolish Gentiles.”

But I ask,“ Did Israel not understand?” First, Moses said, I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding.

But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says,“ I will make you jealous with those who are not a nation, With a foolish nation I will anger you.”

But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says:“ I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation, I will move you to anger by a foolish nation.”

But I say, Did Israel not know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation, With a nation void of understanding will I anger you.

But I ask,“ Did Israel not understand?” First, Moses said: I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding.

But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by[ them that are] no people,[ and] by a foolish nation I will anger you.

But again I ask, didn’t Israel understand? First Moses says,“ I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; with a senseless nation I will provoke you to anger.”

But I ask, didn’t Israel know? First Moses says,“ I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation. I will make you angry with a nation void of understanding.”

他們以不是神的神激動了我的憤恨，以虛無之物惹動了我的怒氣；我也以不是子民的人激動他們的憤恨，以愚昧的國民惹動他們的怒氣。

那麼我要說，他們失足是要倒下去嗎？絕對不是！反而因為他們的過犯，救恩就臨到外族人，為了要激起他們奮發。

這樣也許可以激起我骨肉之親奮發，使他們中間有一些人得救。

我們從前也是無知、不順服、受了迷惑、被各種私慾和逸樂所奴役，生活在惡毒和嫉妒之中，是可憎可惡的，並且互相仇視。

“你們從前不是子民，現在卻是神的子民；從前未蒙憐恤，現在卻蒙了憐恤。”

他們並不知道，也不明白；因為耶和華閉住他們的眼睛，使他們不能看見，塞住他們的心，使他們不能明白。沒有人細心思想，也沒有人有知識有聰明說：“我把木頭的一半放在火裡燃燒，我也在炭火上烘過餅，烤過肉吃，剩下的，我卻用來做了一個可憎之物，我要向木頭叩拜嗎？”他所追求的只是灰塵，被迷惑了的心使他偏離正道了；他不能救自己，也不會說：“在我的右手中不是有個假神嗎？”

但是我要說，他們沒有聽見嗎？他們的確聽見了，如經上所記：“他們的聲音傳遍全地，他們的言語傳到地極。”

弟兄們，我是說時候不多了。從今以後，有妻子的要像沒有妻子的，

人人都是頑梗無知；所有的金匠都因偶像羞愧，因為他們鑄造的像都是虛假、沒有氣息的。

弟兄們，我告訴你們，血肉之體不能承受神的國，必朽壞的也不能承受那不朽壞的。

我必為了自己把她栽種在這地。我必憐恤羅‧路哈瑪（“羅‧路哈瑪”意即“不蒙憐恤”）。我必對羅‧阿米（“羅‧阿米”意即“非我民”）說：‘你是我的子民’，他必說：‘你是我的神。’”

因為他們雖然知道神，卻不尊他為神，也不感謝他，反而心思變為虛妄，愚頑的心就迷糊了。他們自以為是聰明的，卻成了愚蠢的。

他們全是頑梗愚昧，他們所領受的教導是來自那些虛無、木做的偶像。

我說的是甚麼意思呢？偶像算得甚麼，還是祭過偶像的食物算得甚麼？

我的意思就是，你們各人說，我是保羅派的，我是亞波羅派的，我是磯法派的，我是基督派的。

你們知道，你們還是教外人的時候，總是受迷惑被引誘，去拜那不能說話的偶像。

好在現今顯明他的義，使人知道他自己為義，又稱信耶穌的人為義。

它們有口，卻不能說話；有眼，卻不能看；有耳，卻不能聽；有鼻，卻不能聞；有手，卻不能摸；有腳，卻不能行；也不能用喉嚨發聲。做偶像的必和偶像一樣；凡是倚靠它們的，都必這樣。

難道你們沒有家可以吃喝嗎？還是你們藐視神的教會，使那些沒有的羞愧呢？我向你們可以說甚麼呢？稱讚你們嗎？在這事上我不能稱讚。
