How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

然未信之、何能籲之、未聞之、何能信之、無傳者、何能聞乎、

然而苟不信之、何由籲之、苟不聞之、何由信之；苟不傳之、何有聞之；

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

How can they call on him unless they believe in him? How can they believe in him unless they hear about him? How can they hear about him unless someone preaches to them?

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher?

How then are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? How are they to believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how are they to hear without a preacher?

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Delivering thee from the people, and[ from] the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,To open their eyes,[ and] to turn[ them] from darkness to light, and[ from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and[ that] all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered[ him] with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.And he caused[ it] to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that[ is] in their hands.Who can tell[ if] God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

And he said unto them, I[ am] an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry[ land].Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

But without faith[ it is] impossible to please[ him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and[ that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that[ were] in the ship into the sea, to lighten[ it] of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.

Moreover concerning a stranger, that[ is] not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name’s sake;( For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy stretched out arm;) when he shall come and pray toward this house;Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as[ do] thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.

Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.
