然未信之、何能籲之、未聞之、何能信之、無傳者、何能聞乎、

然而苟不信之、何由籲之、苟不聞之、何由信之；苟不傳之、何有聞之；

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

How can they call on him unless they believe in him? How can they believe in him unless they hear about him? How can they hear about him unless someone preaches to them?

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?

他又对他们说：“你们往普天下去，传福音给万民听。信而受洗的，必然得救；不信的，必被定罪。

到了日期，藉着传扬的工夫把他的道显明了；这传扬的责任是按着神我们救主的命令交托了我。

又对他们说：“照经上所写的，基督必受害，第三日从死里复活，并且人要奉他的名传悔改、赦罪的道，从耶路撒冷起直传到万邦。

如果你们听过他的道，领了他的教，学了他的真理，

出于信心的祈祷要救那病人，主必叫他起来；他若犯了罪，也必蒙赦免。

我也要救你脱离百姓和外邦人的手。我差你到他们那里去，要叫他们的眼睛得开，从黑暗中归向光明，从撒但权下归向神；又因信我，得蒙赦罪，和一切成圣的人同得基业。’”

惟有主站在我旁边，加给我力量，使福音被我尽都传明，叫外邦人都听见；我也从狮子口里被救出来。

惟有神能照我所传的福音和所讲的耶稣基督，并照永古隐藏不言的奥秘，坚固你们的心。这奥秘如今显明出来，而且按着永生神的命，藉众先知的书指示万国的民，使他们信服真道。

我们从他受了恩惠并使徒的职分，在万国之中叫人为他的名信服真道；

尼尼微人信服神，便宣告禁食，从最大的到至小的都穿麻衣。这信息传到尼尼微王的耳中，他就下了宝座，脱下朝服，披上麻布，坐在灰中。他又使人遍告尼尼微通城，说：“王和大臣有令，人不可尝什么，牲畜、牛羊不可吃草，也不可喝水。人与牲畜都当披上麻布；人要切切求告神。各人回头离开所行的恶道，丢弃手中的强暴。或者神转意后悔，不发烈怒，使我们不致灭亡，也未可知。”

他说：“我是希伯来人。我敬畏耶和华那创造沧海旱地之天上的神。”他们就大大惧怕，对他说：“你做的是什么事呢？”他们已经知道他躲避耶和华，因为他告诉了他们。他们问他说：“我们当向你怎样行，使海浪平静呢？”这话是因海浪越发翻腾。

人非有信，就不能得神的喜悦；因为到神面前来的人必须信有神，且信他赏赐那寻求他的人。

他说：“没有人指教我，怎能明白呢？”于是请腓利上车，与他同坐。

但记这些事要叫你们信耶稣是基督，是神的儿子，并且叫你们信了他，就可以因他的名得生命。

问他们说：“你们信的时候受了圣灵没有？”他们回答说：“没有，也未曾听见有圣灵赐下来。”

水手便惧怕，各人哀求自己的神。他们将船上的货物抛在海中，为要使船轻些。约拿已下到底舱，躺卧沉睡。

“论到不属你民以色列的外邦人，为你名从远方而来，（他们听人论说你的大名和大能的手，并伸出来的膀臂）向这殿祷告，求你在天上你的居所垂听，照着外邦人所祈求的而行，使天下万民都认识你的名，敬畏你像你的民以色列一样；又使他们知道我建造的这殿是称为你名下的。

那些人便大大敬畏耶和华，向耶和华献祭，并且许愿。
