吾儕沾其恩、受使徒職、令諸異邦信服、而尊其名、

我儕因彼得恩寵、且受使徒之職、令萬國之人、為其名而信服、

吾人賴以蒙恩、忝列宗徒、期使萬民歸順正道、依崇聖名；

Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.

We received grace because of what Jesus did. He made us apostles to the Gentiles. We must invite all of them to obey God by trusting in Jesus. We do this to bring glory to him.

through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,

Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.

Through him we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the Gentiles,

through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles in behalf of His name,

Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,

But the Lord said to him,“ Go your way, for he is my chosen vessel to bear my name before the nations and kings, and the children of Israel.

The word of God increased and the number of the disciples greatly multiplied in Jerusalem. A great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

if it is so that you have heard of the administration of that grace of God which was given me toward you,how that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words,by which, when you read, you can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ,which in other generations was not made known to the children of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit,that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of his promise in Christ Jesus through the Good News,of which I was made a servant according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,and to make all men see what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things through Jesus Christ,

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.In the past, you were not a people, but now are God’s people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

From his fullness we all received grace upon grace.

Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

for he who worked through Peter in the apostleship with the circumcised also worked through me with the Gentiles—and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, those who were reputed to be pillars, gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision.

not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God,who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely gave us favor in the Beloved,

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience when your obedience is made full.

Simeon has reported how God first visited the nations to take out of them a people for his name.

“ But the deceiver is cursed, who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices to the Lord a defective thing; for I am a great King,” says Yahweh of Armies,“ and my name is awesome among the nations.”
