through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles in behalf of His name,

吾儕沾其恩、受使徒職、令諸異邦信服、而尊其名、

我儕因彼得恩寵、且受使徒之職、令萬國之人、為其名而信服、

吾人賴以蒙恩、忝列宗徒、期使萬民歸順正道、依崇聖名；

Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake.

We received grace because of what Jesus did. He made us apostles to the Gentiles. We must invite all of them to obey God by trusting in Jesus. We do this to bring glory to him.

through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations,

Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority as apostles to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.

Through him we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the Gentiles,

Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His name,

through whom we received grace and apostleship, unto obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name’s sake;

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;

but now has been disclosed, and through the Scriptures of the prophets, in accordance with the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith;

But when He who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace was pleasedto reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,

if indeed you have heard of the administration of God’s grace which was given to me for you;that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before briefly.By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,which in other generations was not made known to mankind, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,and to enlighten all people as to what the plan of the mystery is which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things;

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.

Or is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,

( for He who was at work for Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised was at work for me also to the Gentiles),and recognizing the grace that had been given to me, James and Cephas and John, who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we might go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised.

Not that we are adequate in ourselves so as to consider anything as having come from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God,who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

to the praise of the glory of His grace, with which He favored us in the Beloved.

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.

Simeon has described how God first concerned Himself about taking a people for His name from among the Gentiles.

“ But cursed be the swindler who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a blemished animal to the Lord, for I am a great King,” says the Lord of armies,“ and My name is feared among the nations.”
