The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line,

讲的是上帝的儿子——我们的主耶稣基督的事。从肉身来说，祂是大卫的后裔；

regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David,

The good news is about God’s Son. He was born into the family line of King David.

concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh

concerning his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh

concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh,

concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

concerning His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was a descendant of David according to the flesh

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

concerning his Son who was a descendant of David with reference to the flesh,

concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,

This is a record of the ancestors of Jesus the Messiah, a descendant of David and of Abraham:

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law.

“ For the time is coming,” says the Lord,“ when I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will be a King who rules with wisdom. He will do what is just and right throughout the land.And this will be his name:‘ The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety.

And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven— Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.

The angel replied,“ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.

The Father and I are one.”

Then Nathanael exclaimed,“ Rabbi, you are the Son of God— the King of Israel!”

You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus.He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David.And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!”

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are their ancestors, and Christ himself was an Israelite as far as his human nature is concerned. And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.

“ My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed.

God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

But he was a prophet, and he knew God had promised with an oath that one of David’s own descendants would sit on his throne.

The king proclaims the Lord’s decree:“ The Lord said to me,‘ You are my son. Today I have become your Father.

As he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream.“ Joseph, son of David,” the angel said,“ do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”All of this occurred to fulfill the Lord’s message through his prophet:“ Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means‘ God is with us.’”

Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach.

His dynasty will go on forever; his kingdom will endure as the sun.It will be as eternal as the moon, my faithful witness in the sky!” Interlude

Jacob was the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary. Mary gave birth to Jesus, who is called the Messiah.

And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.”

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Thyatira. This is the message from the Son of God, whose eyes are like flames of fire, whose feet are like polished bronze:

“ In that day I will restore the fallen house of David. I will repair its damaged walls. From the ruins I will rebuild it and restore its former glory.

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said,‘ I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.’“ And it is one of King David’s descendants, Jesus, who is God’s promised Savior of Israel!

The crowd was amazed and asked,“ Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah?”

For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

“ What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” They replied,“ He is the son of David.”Jesus responded,“ Then why does David, speaking under the inspiration of the Spirit, call the Messiah‘ my Lord’? For David said,‘ The Lord said to my Lord, Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies beneath your feet.’Since David called the Messiah‘ my Lord,’ how can the Messiah be his son?”

I saw this happen to Jesus, so I testify that he is the Chosen One of God.”

But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.

“ And I assure you that the time is coming, indeed it’s here now, when the dead will hear my voice— the voice of the Son of God. And those who listen will live.

But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him,“ I demand in the name of the living God— tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God.”

“ For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.“ There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,

And because Joseph was a descendant of King David, he had to go to Bethlehem in Judea, David’s ancient home. He traveled there from the village of Nazareth in Galilee.He took with him Mary, to whom he was engaged, who was now expecting a child.And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born.

He trusted God, so let God rescue him now if he wants him! For he said,‘ I am the Son of God.’”

I will never abandon the descendants of Jacob or David, my servant, or change the plan that David’s descendants will rule the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, I will restore them to their land and have mercy on them.”

A Gentile woman who lived there came to him, pleading,“ Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! For my daughter is possessed by a demon that torments her severely.”

And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.

And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us.

why do you call it blasphemy when I say,‘ I am the Son of God’? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world.

God knows how often I pray for you. Day and night I bring you and your needs in prayer to God, whom I serve with all my heart by spreading the Good News about his Son.

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God. And everyone who loves the Father loves his children, too.

And immediately he began preaching about Jesus in the synagogues, saying,“ He is indeed the Son of God!”

As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said,“ Look! There’s some water! Why can’t I be baptized?”

After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting,“ Son of David, have mercy on us!”

Jesse was the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon( whose mother was Bathsheba, the widow of Uriah).

He has sent us a mighty Savior from the royal line of his servant David,

And a voice from heaven said,“ This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”

And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

“ In those days and at that time I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will do what is just and right throughout the land.In that day Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will live in safety. And this will be its name:‘ The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’For this is what the Lord says: David will have a descendant sitting on the throne of Israel forever.

The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands.And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

For the Scriptures clearly state that the Messiah will be born of the royal line of David, in Bethlehem, the village where King David was born.”

For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob— the God of all our ancestors— who has brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this. This is the same Jesus whom you handed over and rejected before Pilate, despite Pilate’s decision to release him.

And because you belong to him, the power of the life giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.

Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith: Christ was revealed in a human body and vindicated by the Spirit. He was seen by angels and announced to the nations. He was believed in throughout the world and taken to heaven in glory.

For when you die and are buried with your ancestors, I will raise up one of your descendants, your own offspring, and I will make his kingdom strong.He is the one who will build a house— a temple— for my name. And I will secure his royal throne forever.I will be his father, and he will be my son. If he sins, I will correct and discipline him with the rod, like any father would do.But my favor will not be taken from him as I took it from Saul, whom I removed from your sight.Your house and your kingdom will continue before me for all time, and your throne will be secure forever.’”
