Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

concerning his Son who was a descendant of David with reference to the flesh,

concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,

The historical record of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham:

The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

When the time came to completion, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

“ The days are coming”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ when I will raise up a Righteous Branch of David. He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land.In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. This is what He will be named: Yahweh Our Righteousness.

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead— Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

The angel replied to her:“ The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore, the holy One to be born will be called the Son of God.

The Father and I are one.”

“ Rabbi,” Nathanael replied,“ You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His name Jesus.He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.

The ancestors are theirs, and from them, by physical descent, came the Messiah, who is God over all, praised forever. Amen.

Thomas responded to Him,“ My Lord and my God!”

God is faithful; you were called by Him into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

For a child will be born for us, a son will be given to us, and the government will be on His shoulders. He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.The dominion will be vast, and its prosperity will never end. He will reign on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from now on and forever. The zeal of the Lord of Hosts will accomplish this.

Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn an oath to him to seat one of his descendants on his throne.

I will declare the Lord’s decree: He said to Me,“ You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.

But after he had considered these things, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying,“ Joseph, son of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit.She will give birth to a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.”Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name Him Immanuel, which is translated“ God is with us.”

Keep your attention on Jesus Christ as risen from the dead and descended from David. This is according to my gospel.

His offspring will continue forever, his throne like the sun before Me,like the moon, established forever, a faithful witness in the sky.” Selah

and Jacob fathered Joseph the husband of Mary, who gave birth to Jesus who is called the Messiah.

I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.

“ Write to the angel of the church in Thyatira:“ The Son of God, the One whose eyes are like a fiery flame and whose feet are like fine bronze, says:

In that day I will restore the fallen booth of David: I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old,

But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing you may have life in His name.

After removing him, He raised up David as their king and testified about him:‘ I have found David the son of Jesse, a man loyal to Me, who will carry out all My will.’“ From this man’s descendants, according to the promise, God brought the Savior, Jesus, to Israel.

And all the crowds were astounded and said,“ Perhaps this is the Son of David!”

For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers.And those He predestined, He also called; and those He called, He also justified; and those He justified, He also glorified.What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?He did not even spare His own Son but offered Him up for us all; how will He not also with Him grant us everything?

“ What do you think about the Messiah? Whose Son is He?”“ David’s,” they told Him.He asked them,“ How is it then that David, inspired by the Spirit, calls Him‘ Lord’:The Lord declared to my Lord,‘ Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet’?“ If David calls Him‘ Lord,’ how then can the Messiah be his Son?”

I have seen and testified that He is the Son of God!”

The one who commits sin is of the Devil, for the Devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the Devil’s works.

“ I assure you: An hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

But Jesus kept silent. Then the high priest said to Him,“ By the living God I place You under oath: tell us if You are the Messiah, the Son of God!”

“ For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.

He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.We have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, in Him.He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

And Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David,to be registered along with Mary, who was engaged to him and was pregnant.While they were there, the time came for her to give birth.

He has put His trust in God; let God rescue Him now— if He wants Him! For He said,‘ I am God’s Son.’”

then I might also reject the seed of Jacob and of My servant David— not taking from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Instead, I will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them.”

Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came and kept crying out,“ Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is cruelly tormented by a demon.”

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true One. We are in the true One— that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

Now this is His command: that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another as He commanded us.

do you say,‘ You are blaspheming’ to the One the Father set apart and sent into the world, because I said: I am the Son of God?

For God, whom I serve with my spirit in telling the good news about His Son, is my witness that I constantly mention you,

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him.

Immediately he began proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues:“ He is the Son of God.”

As they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. The eunuch said,“ Look, there’s water! What would keep me from being baptized?”

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting,“ Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

and Jesse fathered King David. Then David fathered Solomon by Uriah’s wife,

He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David,

And there came a voice from heaven: This is My beloved Son. I take delight in Him!

And who is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

In those days and at that time I will cause a Righteous Branch to sprout up for David, and He will administer justice and righteousness in the land.In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell securely, and this is what she will be named: Yahweh Our Righteousness.“ For this is what the Lord says: David will never fail to have a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel.

The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hands.The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.

Doesn’t the Scripture say that the Messiah comes from David’s offspring and from the town of Bethlehem, where David once lived?”

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.

because the Spirit’s law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.What the law could not do since it was limited by the flesh, God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending His own Son in flesh like ours under sin’s domain, and as a sin offering,

And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

When your time comes and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up after you your descendant, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom.He will build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.I will be a father to him, and he will be a son to Me. When he does wrong, I will discipline him with a human rod and with blows from others.But My faithful love will never leave him as I removed it from Saul; I removed him from your way.Your house and kingdom will endure before Me forever, and your throne will be established forever.’”
