Do you see a person wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this mystery— so that you will not be wise in your own estimation— that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in;

Where is the debater of this age? Has God not made foolish the wisdom of the world?For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

Every person is stupid, devoid of knowledge; Every goldsmith is put to shame by his idols, For his cast metal images are deceitful, And there is no breath in them.

You felt secure in your wickedness and said,‘ No one sees me,’ Your wisdom and your knowledge, they have led you astray; For you have said in your heart,‘ I am, and there is no one besides me.’

But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. So if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God. For it is written:“ He is the one who catches the wise by their craftiness”;
