夫既知有天主矣乃又不以天主事之、而頌詠稱謝焉；復因鑿空蹈虛、流連忘返、以致其冥頑之心、淪於重昏。

懷恩以為祭。賜爾弘玄德。整飭爾行為。救恩徒手得。

彼大聲而言曰：「咸懷寅畏歸榮天主、審判之時已屆；盍翕然歸順天地淵海之造化主歟。」

而爾等則為蒙選之族、赫赫司祭、雍雍神國實天主之眷屬也。天主既召爾等出於黑暗入於靈光、爾等可不表彰大德乎。

孰不寅畏兮大主、孰不頌美兮芳名。至善兮惟爾、普世兮共欽、共欽兮何故、睿斷兮彰明。

詎意吾民莫我聽。義塞之裔將我棄。

應知爾等之得脫於習俗之羈絆其贖價非屬可朽之金銀、

人將逞其私欲、孳孳為利、驕矜自慢輕薄褻瀆、不孝父母、忘恩負義、不虔不敬、

夫天主之大道、其所可得而知者、早已顯示於人、非有所隱也。

夫真光入世、而世人以行為邪惡故、獨愛黑暗、而不愛光明；故曰譴在其中矣。

萬邦兆民。主所締造。胡不歸順。顯揚尊號。

若輩既冥頑不靈、心棄天主、則天主亦愛莫能助、於是聽其昧心恣行、

願其目之昏矇而不見兮、背常曲而不直。』

亦欲使異邦人民、感荷天主洪恩、而心歌腹詠焉。經云：『欲在萬民前、鼓琴詠爾名。』

欲汝啟眾民萬邦之目、使自黑暗轉向光明、脫沙殫之掌握而歸依天主、俾以信予之故、而獲罪赦、與一切因信成聖者同嗣洪基。」

中有一沙瑪里人、見己已愈、返而揚聲歸榮天主、伏耶穌足前、鳴其忻感。耶穌問曰：『愈者非十人乎？其餘九人安在？自此異邦人而外、豈更無其他返而歸榮天主者乎？』
