For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

I want to preach it because I’m not ashamed of the good news. It is God’s power to save everyone who believes. It is meant first for the Jews. It is meant also for the Gentiles.

So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, or of me His prisoner. Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power of God.

I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; see, I do not keep my mouth closed— as You know, Lord.I did not hide Your righteousness in my heart; I spoke about Your faithfulness and salvation; I did not conceal Your constant love and truth from the great assembly.

and that is why I suffer these things. But I am not ashamed, because I know the One I have believed in and am persuaded that He is able to guard what has been entrusted to me until that day.

But if anyone suffers as a“ Christian,” he should not be ashamed but should glorify God in having that name.

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and that of the Father and the holy angels.

In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we were among you for your benefit,and you became imitators of us and of the Lord when, in spite of severe persecution, you welcomed the message with joy from the Holy Spirit.

My speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a powerful demonstration by the Spirit,

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the experts.Where is the philosopher? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish?For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached.For the Jews ask for signs and the Greeks seek wisdom,but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.Yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is God’s power and God’s wisdom,

For I didn’t think it was a good idea to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.

You are also saved by it, if you hold to the message I proclaimed to you— unless you believed for no purpose.

“ Is not My word like fire”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ and like a hammer that pulverizes rock?

affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek;

not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are troubling you and want to change the good news about the Messiah.

since the weapons of our warfare are not worldly, but are powerful through God for the demolition of strongholds. We demolish argumentsand every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.

Who has believed what we have heard? And who has the arm of the Lord been revealed to?

because of the hope reserved for you in heaven. You have already heard about this hope in the message of truth, the gospelthat has come to you. It is bearing fruit and growing all over the world, just as it has among you since the day you heard it and recognized God’s grace in the truth.

This is why we constantly thank God, because when you received the message about God that you heard from us, you welcomed it not as a human message, but as it truly is, the message of God, which also works effectively in you believers.

But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display in Christ and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.To some we are an aroma of death leading to death, but to others, an aroma of life leading to life. And who is competent for this?

I will speak of Your decrees before kings and not be ashamed.

God raised up His Servant and sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your evil ways.”

What then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge and not make full use of my authority in the gospel.

When I came to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ, the Lord opened a door for me.

And he received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while still uncircumcised. This was to make him the father of all who believe but are not circumcised, so that righteousness may be credited to them also.

The Lord will extend Your mighty scepter from Zion. Rule over Your surrounding enemies.

Then the Jews said to one another,“ Where does He intend to go so we won’t find Him? He doesn’t intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks and teach the Greeks, does He?
