I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong—

I long to see you. I want to make you strong by giving you a gift from the Holy Spirit.

For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you—

For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord.

For I want very much to see you, so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you,

For I long to see you so that I may impart some spiritual gift to you, that you may be established;

When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying,“ After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding grace of God in you.

And King David longed to go to Absalom. For he had been comforted concerning Amnon, because he was dead.

For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.

This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?Have you suffered so many things in vain— if indeed it was in vain?Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—

and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith,

so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.

So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said,“ Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth.

But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

Therefore He says:“ When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”( Now this,“ He ascended”— what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily.

By Silvanus, our faithful brother as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand.

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God,

that I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you.

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted— you may well put up with it!

since he was longing for you all, and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick.

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

And David said with longing,“ Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

And now you have surely gone because you greatly long for your father’s house, but why did you steal my gods?”
