I, Paul, am writing this letter. I serve Christ Jesus. I have been appointed to be an apostle. God set me apart to tell others his good news.

But the Lord said to him,“ Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;

to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Paul, called as an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

“ Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Now Agrippa said to Paul,“ You are permitted to speak for yourself.” Then Paul extended his hand and proceeded to make his defense:

But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, stared at him,

The sons of Amram were Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was set apart to sanctify him as most holy, he and his sons forever, to burn incense before the Lord, to serve Him and bless in His name forever.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

which in other generations was not made known to mankind, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power.

For I consider myself not in the least inferior to the most eminent apostles.

But I am speaking to you who are Gentiles. Therefore insofar as I am an apostle of Gentiles, I magnify my ministry

But get up and stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you as a servant and a witness not only to the things in which you have seen Me, but also to the things in which I will appear to you,rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’

And He said to me,‘ Go! For I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’ ”

And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew dialect,‘ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’

and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

And He said to them,“ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned.

Paul, an apostle( not sent from men nor through human agency, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),

For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond servants on account of Jesus.

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation— having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of the promise,

I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.

I have become foolish; you yourselves compelled me. Actually I should have been commended by you, since I was in no respect inferior to the most eminent apostles, even though I am a nobody.

And so the angel said to them,“ Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

At that time the Lord singled out the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to serve Him and to bless in His name, until this day.

and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.But whatever things were gain to me, these things I have counted as loss because of Christ.

While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“ Set Barnabas and Saul apart for Me for the work to which I have called them.”Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

came to me, and standing nearby he said to me,‘ Brother Saul, receive your sight!’ And at that very moment I looked up at him.And he said,‘ The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear a message from His mouth.For you will be a witness for Him to all people of what you have seen and heard.

For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong, whom I also serve, came to me,

No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

So I have said to you,“ You are to take possession of their land, and I Myself will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the Lord your God, who has singled you out from the peoples.You are therefore to make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; and you shall not make yourselves detestable by animal or by bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground, which I have distinguished for you as unclean.So you are to be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy; and I have singled you out from the peoples to be Mine.

Listen to Me, you islands, And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me.

So if I, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.For I gave you an example, so that you also would do just as I did for you.Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.

For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a bond servant of Christ.For I would have you know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel which was preached by me is not of human invention.For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it;and I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my ancestral traditions.But when He who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace was pleasedto reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to Damascus.

Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past,

For such people are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

Is it too small an honor for you that the God of Israel has singled you out from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself, to perform the service of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them;and that He has brought you near, Korah, and all your brothers, sons of Levi, with you? But are you seeking the priesthood as well?

And He gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, some as pastors and teachers,

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am under compulsion; for woe to me if I do not preach the gospel.For if I do this voluntarily, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a commission nonetheless.What, then, is my reward? That, when I preach the gospel, I may offer the gospel without charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel.

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost.Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost sinner Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life.

I was made a minister of this church according to the commission from God granted to me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,

Remember the word that I said to you,‘ A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will persecute you as well; if they followed My word, they will follow yours also.

When he had given him permission, Paul, standing on the stairs, motioned to the people with his hand; and when there was a great silence, he spoke to them in the Hebrew dialect, saying,

For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens;

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
