你，王啊，至高的上帝曾將國度、大權、榮耀、威嚴賜給你父尼布甲尼撒；因上帝所賜給他的大權，各方、各國、各族的人都在他面前恐懼戰兢，因他要殺就殺，要人活就活，要升就升，要降就降。但他的心高傲，靈也剛愎，以致行事狂傲，就被革去國度的王位，奪走榮耀。他被趕出離開世人，他的心變為獸心，與野驢同住，吃草如牛，身體被天上的露水滴濕，直到他知道，至高的上帝在人的國中掌權，憑自己的旨意立人治國。伯沙撒啊，你是他的兒子，你雖知道這一切，卻不謙卑自己，

牠又被准許與聖徒作戰，並且得勝，也賜給牠權柄，可以制伏各支派、各民族、各語言、各邦國。

他們作完見證的時候，那從無底坑裏上來的獸要跟他們交戰，並且得勝，把他們殺了。

耶穌回答他：「若不是從上頭賜給你的，你就毫無權柄辦我，所以，把我交給你的那人罪更重了。」

其後，我觀看，看哪，另有一獸如豹，背上有四個鳥的翅膀；這獸有四個頭，還給了牠權柄。
