倘不釋我民、明白我使蝗至爾境內。周遍於地、幾無隙土、其未壞於雹者、必為蝗所食、以及園中植木、無不盡焉。爾之宮幃、臣民之第宅、蝗充斥之、自爾祖爾父至於今日、皆未嘗見也。摩西退。○群臣奏法老曰、似此累我伊於何底、宜釋斯族、役事其上帝耶和華、豈不知埃及、已將危亡乎。法老乃召摩西亞倫曰、爾往役事爾之上帝耶和華、但欲往者為誰。摩西曰、自老迄幼、由子及女、爰至牛羊、無不俱往。以守節禮、奉事耶和華。曰、我知爾衷懷不善、如耶和華庇爾則可、但我不釋爾之幼稚同往。我如爾祈、惟長者往、役事耶和華、餘弗與、遂驅二人出。○耶和華諭摩西曰、手指埃及招蝗遍集、未壞於雹之田蔬、悉為所食。摩西以杖指埃及、耶和華令風從東來、永朝永夕、明晨、蝗隨風至。蝗至埃及、棲於四境、自古迄今、至於後世、殆亦未有若此之甚。蝗遍通國、覆蔽全地、田蔬園木、未壞於雹者、悉為所食、樹葉田蔬、靡有。孑遺。○

經歷曠野、其境甚廣、其形可畏、在彼有毒蛇、蠍蟲、既至無水之地、則由堅磐出水、以飲爾曹、

惟爾人子、毋庸畏葸、彼悖逆殘賊、爾居其中、若與蠍同處、勿懼其言、毋畏其威。

民取輜重、若蝗食蒭、民盡疾趨、若蝗迅飛。

牧伯將軍、多若蝗蟲、遇寒之時、棲於藩籬、日出群飛、蹤跡無存、

我賜爾以能、可踐蛇蠍、制敵諸權、必無害爾者矣、
