And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth.

剪蟲剩下的，蝗蟲來吃；蝗蟲剩下的，蝻子來吃；蝻子剩下的，螞蚱來吃。

我打發到你們中間的大軍隊，就是蝗蟲、蝻子、螞蚱、剪蟲，那些年所吃的，我要補還你們。

但不許蝗蟲害死他們，只叫他們受痛苦五個月。這痛苦就像蠍子螫人的痛苦一樣。

有尾巴像蠍子，尾巴上的毒鈎能傷人五個月。有無底坑的使者作牠們的王，按着希伯來話，名叫亞巴頓，希臘話，名叫亞玻倫。

我父親使你們負重軛，我必使你們負更重的軛！我父親用鞭子責打你們，我要用蠍子鞭責打你們！』」

米甸人、亞瑪力人，和一切東方人都布散在平原，如同蝗蟲那樣多。他們的駱駝無數，多如海邊的沙。

在那裏，火必燒滅你；刀必殺戮你，吞滅你如同蝻子。任你加增人數多如蝻子，多如蝗蟲吧！

你若不肯容我的百姓去，明天我要使蝗蟲進入你的境內，遮滿地面，甚至看不見地，並且吃那冰雹所剩的和田間所長的一切樹木。你的宮殿和你眾臣僕的房屋，並一切埃及人的房屋，都要被蝗蟲佔滿了；自從你祖宗和你祖宗的祖宗在世以來，直到今日，沒有見過這樣的災。』」摩西就轉身離開法老出去。法老的臣僕對法老說：「這人為我們的網羅要到幾時呢？容這些人去事奉耶和華－他們的神吧！埃及已經敗壞了，你還不知道嗎？」於是摩西、亞倫被召回來見法老；法老對他們說：「你們去事奉耶和華－你們的神；但那要去的是誰呢？」摩西說：「我們要和我們老的少的、兒子女兒同去，且把羊羣牛羣一同帶去，因為我們務要向耶和華守節。」法老對他們說：「我容你們和你們婦人孩子去的時候，耶和華與你們同在吧！你們要謹慎；因為有禍在你們眼前，不可都去！你們這壯年人去事奉耶和華吧，因為這是你們所求的。」於是把他們從法老面前攆出去。耶和華對摩西說：「你向埃及地伸杖，使蝗蟲到埃及地上來，吃地上一切的菜蔬，就是冰雹所剩的。」摩西就向埃及地伸杖，那一晝一夜，耶和華使東風颳在埃及地上；到了早晨，東風把蝗蟲颳了來。蝗蟲上來，落在埃及的四境，甚是厲害；以前沒有這樣的，以後也必沒有。因為這蝗蟲遮滿地面，甚至地都黑暗了，又吃地上一切的菜蔬和冰雹所剩樹上的果子。埃及遍地，無論是樹木，是田間的菜蔬，連一點青的也沒有留下。

引你經過那大而可怕的曠野，那裏有火蛇、蠍子、乾旱無水之地。他曾為你使水從堅硬的磐石中流出來，

人子啊，雖有荊棘和蒺藜在你那裏，你又住在蠍子中間，總不要怕他們，也不要怕他們的話；他們雖是悖逆之家，還不要怕他們的話，也不要因他們的臉色驚惶。

你們所擄的必被斂盡，好像螞蚱吃盡禾稼。人要蹦在其上，好像蝗蟲一樣。

你的首領多如蝗蟲；你的軍長彷彿成羣的螞蚱，天涼的時候齊落在籬笆上，日頭一出便都飛去，人不知道落在何處。

我已經給你們權柄可以踐踏蛇和蠍子，又勝過仇敵一切的能力，斷沒有甚麼能害你們。
