第二天神傾注其爵於海；海成碧血、海中生物盡死第三天神傾注其爵於江河水泉、悉皆變血。吾聞掌水之天神曰「永生之神聖者乎爾之施罰義也。若輩既流先知眾聖之血、則爾飲之以血、不亦宜乎。」又聞祭壇發言曰：「誠哉言也！主天主、全能者乎、爾之睿斷、既明且公。」第四天神傾注其爵於太陽、受權得以烈火薰炙人類；人既受炙、遂謗讟有權制災之天主；猶不知憣然悔改而稱頌威光。第五天神傾注其爵於獸座之上；舉國晦冥、人痛甚而齩舌、不堪瘡痍之苦、而謗讟天主；猶不知痛悔諸業、而改絃易轍。第六天神傾注其爵於歐弗拉底大河之中、水立涸、為東來諸王備道。吾見三邪神狀似蝦蟆、出自龍、獸、及假先知之口；邪神、即鬼魔之靈、能作祟、附於全世諸王、使於全能天主全盛之日、集中全力、而作最後之掙扎。主不云乎：我來有如不速之客。人能恆自警惕、守其所服、毋使赤身露體、自彰其醜、斯為有福。而諸魔竟屯聚列王於一地、地名希伯來文曰哈爾瑪日東云。第七天神傾注其爵於空氣之中；有一大音出自殿中寶座曰：「成矣！事竣矣！」其時雷霆霹靂、眾音並作、大地震動、生民以來所未曾有。大邑分裂為三、萬邦諸邑頹然傾圮。於是大巴比倫乃受天主之報應、而飲其霹靂之酒矣！當時群島皆遁、諸山無跡、天降大雹重達一鈞；人不堪其災、而謗讟天主。
