有话吩咐它们不可伤害地上的草、任何绿色植物、任何树木，只可伤害那些额上没有神印记的人；

看哪！主有一位大能大力者，如冰雹暴雨，如毁灭的狂风，又如汹涌冲击的雨水；他必亲手把它摔落在地。

于是那四个使者就被释放了。他们是为此年、此月、此日、此时所预备好的，为要杀死人类的三分之一。

由于这三样灾害，就是从马口中所喷出的火、烟、硫磺，人类的三分之一被杀了。

他在他们的全境降下冰雹为雨、闪电为火。

以色列的光必成为火，他的圣者必成为烈焰，一日之内就把亚述王的荆棘和蒺藜焚烧吞没；亚述王树林和果园的荣美必全然灭绝，好像病重的人消逝那样。

耶和华察验义人；他的心却憎恨恶人和喜爱残暴的人。他必向恶人密布网罗，火、硫磺、灼热的风是他们杯中的份。

第一位天使吹响号角，就有冰雹和火，混着血被撒在地上；于是大地的三分之一被烧掉，树木的三分之一被烧掉，所有的青草也都被烧掉了。第二位天使吹响号角，就有一座像被火燃烧着的大山被丢进海里；于是海的三分之一变成血，海中有生命的被造之物的三分之一也死了，众船只的三分之一也被毁了。第三位天使吹响号角，就有一颗像火把一样燃烧着的大星，从天上坠落，落在江河的三分之一和众水的泉源上。这颗星的名字叫“苦艾”。于是众水的三分之一变为苦艾，许多人就因这水变苦而死去了。第四位天使吹响号角，太阳的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一都被击打，以致它们的三分之一变黑了；于是白昼的三分之一没有光，夜晚也是如此。

耶和华必使人听见他威严的声音，又以猛烈的怒气、吞噬的火焰、暴雨、狂风和石头般的冰雹，使人看见他抡下来的膀臂。

他用冰雹毁了他们的葡萄树，用严霜毁了他们的桑树。他把他们的家畜交给冰雹，把他们的牲畜交给闪电。

顷刻之间，万军之耶和华必突然用雷霆、地震、巨响、旋风、狂风和吞噬的火焰来惩罚他们。

冰雹和火炭从他面前的光辉中而出，穿过了乌云。耶和华在天上发出雷鸣，至高者发出他的声音，伴随着冰雹和火炭；

又有重约四十公斤的大冰雹，从天上落在人身上；由于这冰雹的灾害，人们就亵渎了神，因为这灾害极其厉害。

尽管冰雹降下击倒森林、城邑彻底败落，

大雨降下，急流冲来，狂风刮起，撞击那房子，房子却没有倒塌，因为它在磐石上立定根基。可是，凡是听了我这些话而不实行的人，就好比一个愚拙的人把自己的房子建在沙滩上。大雨降下，急流冲来，狂风刮起，撞击那房子，房子就倒塌了，并且倒塌得非常厉害。”

因为必有万军之耶和华的一个日子，临到所有傲慢高傲的和所有自高的，使他们成为卑贱；又临到所有高耸挺拔的黎巴嫩香柏树和所有巴珊的橡树，

我又观看，看哪，有一匹灰绿色的马。那骑马的，名叫“死亡”，阴间伴随着他。他们被赐予了权柄可以统管地上的四分之一，用刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫和地上的野兽去杀害人。

因为，“所有的人都像草一样，他们的一切荣耀就像草上的花；草会枯干，花会凋谢，

它的尾巴拖着天上星辰的三分之一，把它们摔在地上。这龙站在那快要生产的妇人面前，为要在她生产之后，吞吃她的孩子。

第一位天使离去，把他的碗倒在地上，就有又恶又毒的疮，长在那些带有兽的印记并膜拜兽像的人身上。

太阳带着热气升起，草地枯萎，草上的花也凋谢，它表面的美丽也就消逝了；照样，富有的人在他的追求中，也将衰残。
