The sun and moon have become dark, And the stars have lost their brightness.

And it will come about in all the land,” Declares the Lord,“ That two parts in it will be cut off and perish; But the third will be left in it.And I will bring the third part through the fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say,‘ They are My people,’ And they will say,‘ The Lord is my God.’ ”

Even your little ones may go with you.”But Moses said,“ You must also let us have sacrifices and burnt offerings, so that we may sacrifice them to the Lord our God.Therefore, our livestock too shall go with us; not a hoof shall be left behind, for we shall take some of them to serve the Lord our God. And until we arrive there, we ourselves do not know with what we shall serve the Lord.”But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he was not willing to let them go.Then Pharaoh said to him,“ Get away from me! Be careful, do not see my face again, for on the day you see my face, you shall die!”Moses said,“ You have spoken correctly; I shall never see your face again!”

And I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became as black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;

that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and false signs and wonders,and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not accept the love of the truth so as to be saved.For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.

And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, so that they would kill a third of mankind.

“ But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

When the sixth hour came, darkness fell over the whole land until the ninth hour.

“ There will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves,

It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the entire land until the ninth hour,because the sun stopped shining; and the veil of the temple was torn in two.

“ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light,

And his tail* swept away a third of the stars of heaven and hurled them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her Child.

Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour.

A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire, the smoke, and the brimstone which came out of their mouths.

Then the moon will be ashamed and the sun be put to shame, For the Lord of armies will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, And His glory will be before His elders.

The sun will be turned into darkness And the moon into blood, Before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun, and it was given power to scorch people with fire.And the people were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.

I looked at the earth, and behold, it was a formless and desolate emptiness; And to the heavens, and they had no light.

And when I extinguish you, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars; I will cover the sun with a cloud And the moon will not give its light.All the shining lights in the heavens I will darken over you And will set darkness on your land,” Declares the Lord God.

And it will come about on that day,” declares the Lord God,“ That I will make the sun go down at noon, And make the earth dark in broad daylight.

in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
